Topic: Favorite Foreign Films
Well someone just asked what favorite Indie you liked so I thought following that up with favorite foreign films would just be natural. I didn't get to see Pan's Labrinth and I will pick this up on DVD as soon I see it. I listed Hardware (1990) as a favorite indie, but it is also foreign (UK) Le Pacte des loups (2001) (Brotherhood of the Wolf) (FR)

Re: Favorite Foreign Films
I liked very much High tension, Audition, Marebito, Versus...
Re: Favorite Foreign Films
I find this so funny because American films are foreign to me. One could either break it down into favourite European or favourite Asian film. For me I was born in England (therefore dont consider them to be foreign films) and I live in Australia (as yet to build on their horror genre- there are some not many) And New zealand make some amazing films full stop but their horror, to me, is exceptional. And as they are our next door neighbours cant consider them foreign either. Just had to bring this aside up.
Re: Favorite Foreign Films

Re: Favorite Foreign Films
Dog Soldiers well made werewolves.
Re: Favorite Foreign Films
My favourites so far are Night Watch (Nochnoi Dozor), Day Watch (Dnevnoi Dozor) and The Host (Gwoemul). I have just got a copy of Cronos but haven't watched it yet so I hope it's good. I'm British so I wouldn't think of Dog Soldiers or 28 Days/Weeks Later as being 'foreign' but they are all good too.

Re: Favorite Foreign Films
I'm adding Battle Royale to my list as fave asian horror/action thriller.
Re: Favorite Foreign Films
My favorite would have to be the Japanese horror movie, Carved: The Slit Mouthed Woman. I also really enjoyed The Host. Ringu 0 is another good one. Other than that, I really haven't seen any other foreign horror movies.

Re: Favorite Foreign Films
It's hard to determine exactly which ones are my favorite. But i'm going out on a limb here and stating that practically every single asian horror movie, and non-horror, are my bread and butter. Without a shadow of a doubt, i can watch these movies over and over again.
Re: Favorite Foreign Films
If I just chose one, it would be Susperia or perhaps another Argento or Fulci film. But, I can't pick just one because I love so many. I even love the films of the great Paul Naschy. Go Walperis! I have to say though, that if I picked the greatest all-time studio and purveyor of great horror films, it would be the allmighty Hammer studios. From beginning to end just a slew of great and often classy horror. Going to the theater to see Hmmer films was a highlight of my youth and the dvd's continue to reign in my lair.
