Topic: Favorite WEIRD, bizarre Horror Flicks?
What are some of your favorite WEIRD horror flicks? Bizarre, strange flicks, spoofs etc... Example: I LOVE... Eraser Head Delicatessen Little Shop Of Horrors Dracula's Wife
Re: Favorite WEIRD, bizarre Horror Flicks?
Street Trash Blue Jean Monster The Seventh Curse The Heroic Trio Bride of Frank Big Man Japan Huh. Those are the only ones coming to me at the moment. I'll have to come back to this one.
Re: Favorite WEIRD, bizarre Horror Flicks?
House (1977) Videodrome Blood Diner I can't think of any others either. I do love Delicatessen though. And leave it to Lon to mention five movies I've never even heard of. Now I'm going to have to look them up.
Re: Favorite WEIRD, bizarre Horror Flicks?
Gah! How could I forget Blood Diner? That's an old favorite. House -- you talking about that crazy Japanese flick? That one's pretty trippy. Oh, and I remembered another one -- The Last Days of Man On Earth, aka The Final Programme. Swingin' British spy mates with a cannibalistic nymphomaniac as a nuclear bomb drops and the two meld together to become the new Messiah. Whacky, whacky flick.

I LOVE Black Sheep, its hilarious.
Re: Favorite WEIRD, bizarre Horror Flicks?
Bride of Frank was definitely weird. I watched a weird one yesterday called The Devil's Nightmare AKA The Devil Walks at Midnight about a succubus. I actually liked it though.
Re: Favorite WEIRD, bizarre Horror Flicks?
The Giant Claw The Lepus Mothra Godzilla vs King Kong-It's weird because a frickin' giant ape manages to beat a giant lizard who posesses much more powers than King Kong. Killer Klows From Outer Space (I was actually watching that a few days ago)

Re: Favorite WEIRD, bizarre Horror Flicks?
Blue Velvet was pretty bizarre at times. Frank scared the shit out of me and the wired miming scene? The Shining. I will never understand the blowjob bear? Black sheep! And It's so relevant to me as I live in a country with more sheep than people Audition. While It's not Miike's most bizarre it's still pretty out there. House of 1000 Corpses! Soooo wierd at times, the fish boy, What the?
Re: Favorite WEIRD, bizarre Horror Flicks?
Some more I've thought of: Death Warmed Up Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla Glen or Glenda? The Nostril Picker (heh) Hell of the Living Dead Naked Lunch I see Takashi Miike's been brought up, but no one's mentioned Dead or Alive? Y'all be slippin'.

Gonna watch Gozu tonight. Looks pretty effed up. I was gonna say TGP but I've not seen it yet Not a live action but the Japanese Anime "Dead Leaves" is an excellent example of bizarre. Or Paprika, which is visually stunning. Or if you wanna go really bat shit crazy anime, the super duper strange Legend of the Overfiend. The japanese really know how to do it the insane way

I've seen stuff about it. Not had chance to check it out yet. Will definately get on it after I've finished the one I'm watching now Don't have netflix but I'll find it somewhere. Lovefilm is seriously slacking on it's anime. Only has one anime movie! UK netflix wasn't much better though.
