Topic: Horror Games

A good horror story may keep most of us awake at night, but a scary video game will ensure that we won't sleep for weeks.

Re: Horror Games

I agree Paul.  As much as I love the movies, none of them can consistently (or actually ever) send shivers up my spine or rushes through my body like can frequently happen with a good survival horror game.  Completely different medium though and unfair to compare them, one is a passive viewing experience, the other requires you to actively ensure the survival of the main character (you).

Re: Horror Games

Back in college my buddy got Res Evil.  So he's playing I'm watching, we get to the 1st zombie cinematic... surprised the couch survived the jumping. lol

When you have something that sticks in your mind 20 years later like that, you know you did a good job.  The younger kids won't be impressed, but back then that was not something you were expecting.

Dead Space freaks me the hell out, and pretty much all of the Resident Evil games.
