Topic: Favourite Horror Movie by Country (Horror Olympics)
I thought it would be cool if we did a favourite movie by country. Then by a certain time we could see which film is mentioned most, then 2nd and 3rd most and which countries they come from, allocating the equivalent to a Gold, Silver or Bronze medal. The Contenders EDIT (thx for the 1's I missed aza) America Britain Spain France Italy Scandinavia (includes Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark) Japan South Korea Australia Canada Mexico Thailand Hong Kong (China)

Thailand China (Hong Kong mostly) Mexico Canada (I would put in India and Turkey, but it would crush your soul to watch any of them) edit- didn't mean to step on your post Vas. Just a few other countries that have made some good films.

Horror Olympics. I like. America - Dawn of the Dead Britain - Legend of Hell House Spain - Day of the Beast France - Haute Tension Italy - Tenebre Norway - Evil Ed (okay, that one's Swedish, but all those guys look alike ) Japan - Ringu South Korea - The Host Australia - Roadgames, though really Australia, while a beautiful country, has a horrible genre track record

Re: Favourite Horror Movie by Country (Horror Olympics)
Actually for Canada, U.S., Japan and Italy I got numerous choices like; Canada: Videodrome, Scanners, The Brood, Cube 2: Hypercube, Cube... U.S.: (Too much to state) Japan: Sumthin like the Ju-On serie and Ringu. Italy: Suspiria, Tenebre, Opera, Phenomena (watched the italian version and cannot undersand anything at all, but understand the plot thanks to my small knowledge of italian... and my mom . The first murder scene make she feel disgusted but she still was able to translate for me.)...

Re: Favourite Horror Movie by Country (Horror Olympics)
America - Dawn of the Dead (remake), nah, just kidding lol. Original of course! Britain - Dog Soldiers Spain - bit obscure this one but I'm gonna go with Cuento de Navidad (The Christmas Tale) from the '6 Films to Keep You Awake' series. If you've not seen it then please do, it's excellent. France - Haute Tension Italy - Suspiria Scandinavia (includes Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark) - Trollhunter Japan - Soooo many to choose from, I'll say Audition. South Korea - R-Point. I still haven't seen A Tale of 2 Sisters yet though, (yeah, I know, I suck hehe!) Australia - Mmm, The Loved Ones or Wolf Creek? Wolf Creek for me. Canada - Easy decision - Black Christmas (1974) Mexico - Cronos. Tbh I've only ever seen 2 horror films from Mexico and I'm hardly likely to choose the other one, Night of the Bloody Apes!!! Thailand - Shutter. Hong Kong (China) - The Untold Story.
