New good horrors are few and far between imho.

Tucker and Dale Vs Evil is a very fun horror comedy.
Red State is alright.
Eden Lake if you want something downbeat.
Some good found footage films over on Azzys link there.
Insidious is a good atmospheric ghosty story.

English and new huh? Well I like The Thing (2011), Apollo 18 (2011) and Scre4m (2011) which almost nobody likes. Insidious is also a good one. Forget Saw 3D. Paranormal Activity 3 (2011) is a good one too. I only put around the 2011 ones.

Aah Scream 4 was very good until the end. That was a tad silly, I've seen mostly love for it?

Depends how new you want. Last 10 years new or literally just come out.

Try Anthony DiBlasi's Cassadaga from 2011. Great indie flick from the guy tht brought u 2009's Clive Barker adaption Dread. Another highly recommended film.
