Wow! I didn't even know that Mirrors was a remake!?!
I vote for The Grudge, I actually prefer it to the Japanese version and thought it was scarier.

Well, The Ring it's the best I could go. Mirrors and The Grudge were both awesome stuff but The Ring is still better.

^^ I agree. OMC and Shutter remakes were so boring that I have to turn them off.

Yeah, the Shutter remake was abysmal. The original's one of the scariest films I've ever seen.

The Uninvited wasn't as good as A Tale of Two Sisters but I still enjoyed it, so I'll go with The Uninvited.

The Ring. Most of the others were sad imitations of their Asian counterparts.

^^ Nope. I LOVE the original. The remake was just blah for me as was Shutter and One Missed Call and The Eye and Dark Water. Haven't seen the remakes of Mirrors or Pulse and likely won't.

I really enjoyed the remake of the Grudge but to each their own I suppose.
Mirrors was fairly decent but you're not missing anything by not having seen the others you mentioned. The worst offender was 'Shutter', that one was terrible.

The original Dark Water is i think defo a better film than Ringu by the same director.

I didn't know Mirrors was a remake either, I liked it fairly well. Also liked The Grudge
