Topic: Mark of the Vampire

Some great MGM production value during the height of the studio in the mid-30's, with Barrymore and Lugosi.  Wonderful eerie atmosphere with scene and set parallels to Dracula.  I love the slo-mo bats that move like they are anti-gravity.  And a startling human-bat flying shot that is completely unique.  But the ending is a cop-out with it all being non-supernatural.  How could they?

It's a pretty entertaining movie, but I think it was just generally made to capitalize on Lugosi's fame with Dracula. It's been a couple of years since I seen it, but I do recall the end being sort of a little too easy, but I guess also a little predictable. Good movie, but not great.
