My absolute favorite Marvel character is getting a new series in March: MOON KNIGHT!  And to top it off, it's going to be written by Warren Ellis.  Fuck. Yeah.

I'm glad someone else appreciates Moon Knight.  Vastly overlooked as a great Marvel hero

Re: Favorite Comic Books

Moon Knight's bad ass.  I was big on him back in the 80s and always thought he deserved more love.  Warren Ellis is kind of hit or miss with me, but I'll be checking this new series out.

^ Love this series!!

Re: Favorite Comic Books

Yeah very cool fun entertaining one. smile

Re: Favorite Comic Books

Have you had the chance to read this, and the other series? The first two series were my favorites, but 3-4-5 were also a lot of fun.

Re: Favorite Comic Books

I have 26 of them.

Bless Cyberspace and .cbr files. lol

But 5 real life ones...

Re: Favorite Comic Books

I  no longer read comics, although there are times that I still get into the "underground" variety.  For the most part, they chased me away when the prices went beyond what many make an hour and EVERYTHING became serialized.  When I last read comics, I was partial to such as HOWARD THE DUCK, MAN THING,  SWAMP THING,  THE BLACK PANTHER, SPIDER MAN and I collected the old E.C.s.  Anybody remember TWISTED TALES?

Oh damn yes, Twisted Tales Rock so much. Very cool oldie. big_smile

Man I won't say she's cute but Daddy's Grrrl looks as Psycho as Daddy lemme tell you. Cool.

Interesting.

Re: Favorite Comic Books

^^^ That cover looks badass!!

I've always been pretty into comics. I've finally finished buying and reading all 19 of the Spawn Origins volumes which I'm pretty pumped about. I also like to read Grimm's Fairy Tales comics.

This was one of the many 3D covers that DC comics came out with in Sept as part of the " DC villains month."  I picked up 2 copies of this issue, and several others, a few months ago, and the cover is in 3D. There is also a regular (non 3D) cover. Looks bad ass!! I sold one copy on ebay, which paid for my keeper- copy.

Re: Favorite Comic Books

Sweet!!! Man I dig these 3D covers wish I had more but especially one the first Spidey 3D that came out. It rocked. But I lost it freaking H3LL... roll

I'm certain it's a reissue cause it's NOT from 2013 at all.

Re: Favorite Comic Books

^ If your referring to the Superior Spider-Man #1 issue? I also have a few of ^ these issues. There were a ton of variant covers made for the release of this issue.

Yeah saw that somewhere else but I love these variant covers ones.

But to tell you the truth I'm not even sure it's this one I had. Reminds me a lots of it because of the eyes mostly but can't be sure, way too long ago that was...

Re: Favorite Comic Books

Oh hell, now that I think of it, I guess I followed MOST of the pre-2000 Marvels-just some more faithfully than others.  I remember also loving HERO FOR HIRE,  CONAN  ,  WEREWOLF BY NIGHT and TOMB OF DRACULA back then.  Anybody similar?

Re: Favorite Comic Books

Only one from them aside Conan of course is Tomb Of Dracula never heard of the others.

I'm a Dark Horse or Vertigo guy totally so...

Re: Favorite Comic Books

When I was a kid, I loved THOR and REX THE WONDER DOG.

Re: Favorite Comic Books

Me was Spidey and Iron Man. Oh and Ghostrider of course, Spawn came later... But Thor is great too...

Re: Favorite Comic Books

Man Silver Banshee looks extremely badass. Just saw her just a bit ago and I reminded her from back then so I've read a bunch of stuff 'bout her.

Wiki wrote:

Silver Banshee has superhuman strength, agility, speed, endurance, and a high degree of resistance to physical and energy-based attacks. Her incredibly strong and destructive hypersonic wails, sonic screams, and sonic yells can kill anyone within a certain range as long as she can see her victim and knows their secret true name. Victims are usually reduced to desiccated husks. Silver Banshee is able to use her sound/sonic-based abilities to teleport via sound waves.
As Siobhan Smythe in The New 52, she has exhibited a gift for language, becoming fluent after hearing merely a few words in not just humanoid languages, but also animal languages (she shows off to Supergirl by talking to doves), though she tends to speak every language with a strong Irish accent.

Wow the look. big_smile

Re: Favorite Comic Books

I also remember being a fan of MOONKNIGHT , OMEGA and THE FLY, TARZAN and TUROK, SON OF STONE.  Before the code, I liked THUNDA,  the original HEAP (actually, the back story in AIRBOY at that point),  CAPTAIN MARVEL and while I've mentioned the ECs, some of the other horror comics, especially those of ACG.

Re: Favorite Comic Books

^^^
Ahhh yeah Turok, I remember this...

Re: Favorite Comic Books

Oh yeah, pre-code stuff:  PLANET COMICS and KAANGA, almost anything by Fiction House, actually.  Later KORAK,  MAGNUS ROBOT FIGHTER and BLACK PANTHER.

Re: Favorite Comic Books

Oh yeah, how could I have forgotten DR. STRANGE?
