Topic: Nix Comics

Hey guys, Nix Comics is a independent Rock 'n' Roll Horror anthology comic out of Columbus, Ohio. I was lucky enough to be a contributor to their second issue that came out in 2011. I know it's old news but I figured I'd show you guys what was published from me.
The story I wrote was called "What the Chuck?"

Re: Nix Comics

Awesome comic! I honestly didn't guess the twist. Would have been perfect in a modern Tales From the Crypt comic.

Yeah, the comic is very much like Tales From the Crypt however the editor is very passionate about music as well, so every story in the book has something to do with music.

The twist is kind of subtle, the clues are,
1. the first page the main character is alone in the crowd,
2. on the first panel of page two, his friend doesn't cast a shadow.
3. Same page the main character talks about a "one man band"
4. Page 3 he drops a empty pill bottle and has a script for a drug typically used for schizophrenia.

it's hard to get a twist like that across in the 5 pages I had to work with, but i tried my best!

That was so cool I'm so going to look up this series thanks mate. I love this style of comic because you can take your time with each story. How many stories came with each issue ?

Yeah there is just enough clues that a savvy reader might pick it up, that reader was not me. I was slappign my forehead thinking it seemed so obvious once you know.

Are the rest of the comics in NIX somewhat horror related or is mostly just music related?

Usually there is around 6. They are usually short from 1 to 6 pages.

Mostly horror with music, but there's usually one comedy starring a character named Bus Stop Ned.
