Topic: The Re-Worded Horror Movie Title Game

I doubt there will be much interest for this, but this is a game I created back when I was a staff reviewer for zombiekeeper.com.  Basically it was a contest to see who would win all the crummy screeners I'd receive and had no desire to keep in my video library.  It's a tough game, but for those able to think outside of the box, it might be some fun.  It's a lot like clues in a cryptic crossword.  For example...

"Pooped opposite of him not alive" = Pooped (shat) opposite of him (her) not alive (dead) = Shatter Dead.

Or

"The former girlfriend boat paddle lump" = the former girlfriend ( the ex) boat paddle (oar) lump (cyst) = The Exorcist.

Any takers?  Let me know and I'll get the ball rolling.

Re: The Re-Worded Horror Movie Title Game

Yes yes yes.  I don't know how good I'll be but yes.  This is my kinda game.

Re: The Re-Worded Horror Movie Title Game

Works for me! lol

First title up:

Require loaded thongs with an eye

Re: The Re-Worded Horror Movie Title Game

Absolutely no idea.  I'm not even close.  I hope someone jumps in here.

Re: The Re-Worded Horror Movie Title Game

As I said, it's like a cryptic crossword clue.  So you each part of a clue could be...

1. A synonym or the actual definition of a word in the answer
2. A syllable in the answer
3. A play on words or spelling

It's up to the person to determine which part of the clue applies to which part of the answer, hence no punctuation.  But for the sake of breaking it down, I'll separate each part of the clue with a comma as it pertains to part of the answer:

Require, loaded, thongs with an eye

Require = Need
loaded = full
thongs with an eye = the word "thongs" with an "i" = things

Needful Things

Should I post another, or is this just too damn confusing? lol

Re: The Re-Worded Horror Movie Title Game

Ohhh...I get the premise.  Was just drawing a blank on that one.  Another.

Re: The Re-Worded Horror Movie Title Game

Paid Expert = Pro
Discovered = found (okay, this one was juuuuuuuust a bit of a stretch)
Spanish gold = oro
after a long, long way to run = the note after "fa" = so

Want another one?

Re: The Re-Worded Horror Movie Title Game

That was a total guess on my part, and didn't actually think it was right.  Never EVER would have gotten it without your clues.

I am genuinely confused by this.  What?

Let me try one:

No sister 60's thug of the rhymes with hoof.

Re: The Re-Worded Horror Movie Title Game

Remember the "Do re mi" song from Sound of Music?

Mi, a name I call myself; fa, a long, long way to run; SO (which comes after fa, "a long, long way to run").  Like I said.  Tricky. lol

Hm...gonna have to give yours some thought...

Re: The Re-Worded Horror Movie Title Game

I think I got it:

No sister = brother
60s thug = hood (we called 'em this in the 80s, too lol )
of the
rhymes with hoof = wolf

Brotherhood of the Wolf

Yes, still one of my faves: Brotherhood of the Wolf.
