Amy Pohler just won one now and I'm extremely happy for her because it's her first one ever. Glad because she's such a fantastic actress. Right on baby!!! big_smile

Such a badass show.
My evening is definitely VERY enjoyable really!!!

Re: Awards 2014

Wow there on I wouldn't of known had I not read your post.lol I hate all award shows there all popularity contest.

Re: Awards 2014

Hahaha

Yeah they are but it's us the viewers that make that popularity happen so denying them is like denying our passion for movies.

But hey, that's my own peronal opinion, everybody has the right to like them or not. big_smile

Re: Awards 2014

None of the movies I'm into are chosen so I will hate all I want. Imo A bunch of stuck up blowhards who wouldn't know a good movie if it bit them in ass.

Re: Awards 2014

So many of the movies nominated I truely enjoyed.
ESPECIALLY American Hustle and Rush so...
I've been bitten in the ass by these 2. Mwahahaha lol

Re: Awards 2014

Wooooooooooooooooooooooo H3LL yeah, AMERICAN HUSTLE WON!!!!!!!!! Damn yeah baby!!! Very happy me now. big_smile

Re: Awards 2014

I love awards shows.  You make it when you win a Golden Globe, BAFTA or Oscar (or Grammy).  It was a great show and the awards were all over the place instead of a steamroll.  Leonardo DiCaprio deserved his the most.  He's one of the most unappreciated actors in terms of awards.  I can't wait for this Thursday when they announce the Oscar nominations!

Re: Awards 2014

Still haven't seen Wolf Of Wall Street but it won't be long before I do.
But all the ones that won truely deserved it. ESPECIALLY my lovely Jennifer baby. She's one of my all times favorite actresses and I still remember her in the third movie she ever did, The Burning Plain and boy she was definitely up to a wonderful start.

Can't wait for the Oscar's list either.
I vote for American Hustle for sure.

Re: Awards 2014

I was happy to see Matthew McConnesldfkjlskjdf (I can't spell his name) win because he got his start in horror: Texas Chainsaw Next Generation.  Love seeing our horror stars shining brightly! I haven't actually seen Wolf of Wall Street as I do not support movie theaters.  I will be buying the blu ray of it day one when it comes out.  I love the Oscar list because I make a list and watch literally every movie (I look forward to the foreign and short films because you never hear anything about them so there's literally no expectations whereas stuff like wolf of wall street and gravity you hear a lot about)

Re: Awards 2014

I think "12 years a slave" will win a lot at the Oscars and it is well deserved. Jared Leto will win supporting actor for "Dallas Buyers Club"

Re: Awards 2014

I'm extremely happy for Dallas Buyers Club as it's a fellow Quebecker, sir Vallée that directed it. Yay!!!

And yeah Matt, I do the same and watch all that are in the Oscars nomination list. And this year's got a lot of great as mad stuff. smile

Re: Awards 2014

But damn Jennifer's speech was funny. lol

Re: Awards 2014

Sierra Boggess (who played the original Ariel in The Little Mermaid on Broadway and Christine Daae in Phantom of the Opera 25th anniversary) posted a pic on twitter of that dress and then the picture of Ariel from the little mermaid cartoon movie when she gets legs she wears a sack with rope.  Spot on match...probably what she was going for, who knows.

Re: Awards 2014

Just finished watching them.  Didn't even know they were on last night 'til I saw Punk's post, then DLed them last night.  A surprising number of technical goofs early on but my girl  Tina Fey (lovely as ever) and Amy Poehler kicked ass as co-hosts.  Didn't much care about who won what this year as I've only seen one of the nominated films (American Hustle -- really good, and well worth checking out, but not a masterpiece like it's been made out to be, IMO).

Re: Awards 2014

That one's at the top of my list, Lon.

Re: Awards 2014

I've never been so happy to see Leo win a Golden Globe! big_smile He deserves it, and he also deserves an Oscar but I don't think that will happen. They seem to have something "out" for him or something.
