does anyone know or have any information about the teaser they show before the Transformers. Looked like NY City, with lots of fireballs. Godzilla-ish. anyone?

Well i just came across this one site where it actually had speculation about what the different possibilities what it actually could be and Cloverfield is not going to be the actually title of the movie. So really Cloverfield is a fake title. Below is the link for you to check out and what you think it could and might be:

yep we know. its been reported here. Cloverfield is the code name. Its also called 1-18-08 , or UNTITLED. We only use cloverfield since it was the first name it was given.

Who cares what it's called. As long as the monster in Cloverfield isnt the same black smoke monster from the TV show Lost by JJ Abrams, then I'm there opening day!
