Re: greatest guitar solos

But out of those 3 albums, I would have to go with The Wall a tad more b/c not only is it my favorite album, but also The Wall was the movie and the music that got me utterly addicted to Pink Floyd and all their songs and albums and also owning every single album and even have my goalie helmet dedicated to the album The Wall.

Lon, (laughing) the eye comment is pretty funny, but the "surprise us" topic is next door.  This is the guitar solo room.  lol

Ah, crap.  I should have checked back in this thread sooner.  No idea where my head was when I wrote that eyeball squeak thing.

Anyway, I actually will stay on topic this time.  Some more solos I dig:

Audioslave - Doesn't Remind Me
Pantera - This Love
Megadeth - Sweating Bullets
Alice in Chains - Man in the Box
Disturbed - Stricken
Metallica - Four Horsemen

I'm sure I'll think of some more later.

^ I thought you'd never respond!  I was so cracked up.

On the PF topic, I prefer Animals to The Wall, and when feeling blue, gotta go with The Final Cut.

Re: greatest guitar solos

Pretty much any guitar solo by Frank Zappa.

Re: greatest guitar solos

Computer Blue, by Prince.  Loved the lead licks and solos in that one.  Plus, y'know, Prince doesn't really get the props he deserves when it comes to his guitar work.  That li'l fella can sling a pretty mean six-string.

I still love Ace Frehley's live solo on the song Shock Me on Kiss Alive 2.

Re: greatest guitar solos

the best guitar solo to me is "maggotbrain" by parliament funkadelic
