Topic: Just One Night & HOP update

Hey guys,

It's been a minute since my last post so I thought I'd give you an update on "House of Pain" and my new short project "Just One Night".

Just One Night - What would you give for just one night with the hottest woman you've ever seen? Be careful how you answer that! For one man, he is about to have that request fulfilled and more!

This is a short Thriller/horror in the same vein as "tales from the crypt" with an adult theme to it. I'm starting pre-production now and hope to shoot this after the Toronto film festival finishes here in September.

As for House of Pain, The short is 90% finished, I'm just waiting for the audio to be cleaned up and the score to be finalized. Unfortunately we'll miss this years round of horror festivals, but will likely have 2 to submit next year.

The full version of the HOP script is close to being finished and now I have to find a producer brave enough to shoot it with me.

If that fails, I might just release a DVD of shorts again similar to Tales from the Crypt as that was one of my favorite series of all times.

Hey Mike, it's good to hear from you again.

Your new project sounds great.  I think you could do a lot of cool stuff with that synopsis.  Good luck.

It's good to hear "House of Pain" wrapping up.  Hopefully, you'll submit that bad boy to some festivals next year and get some major props.  Still can't wait to see it myself.

I'm sure you will find a producer that's willing to shoot the full length version.  You just gotta find the right one.

Finding a producer is easy, finding one with funds to make it, that's another story, lol

So far, the people who have read Just One Night have really been excited about it and have given me the best praises I've received for anything I've written so far.  I was afraid it was going to be too sleazy... guess not, lol

I'm still thinking a DVD of shorts like TFTC isn't a bad way to go either smile

SLEAZE is king, but I'm glad people are excited about the project.  Praise is definately a good thing and should give you even more of a reason to the shoot the film in the first place.

"TFTC" is not a bad way to go at all.  It's indeed a great show.

some of the shows were dumb, what its to be expected when u have different directors and so many shows to make a year. I just watched season 6 & 7 over the weekend.

Seems like everyone loves some good ol sleaze!

Great to hear everything is going all right for you although it's a shame you won't be able to submit HoP to this year's festivals. But we all know that it's better to take your time a finish things the way you want them instead of rushing everything to a deadline.

The premise to your new proyect sounds interesting, for the record I wouldn't do anything because I'm already with the hottest woman on this planet. tongue

Hey Mike great to see you back and giving us an update on everything. I'm glad to hear everything is coming along very well and i do like the idea about the shorts. With Tales from the Crypt being one of my favorite shows which i still watch, i'm definitely going to really appreciate. I really do think that is a good idea for you to put out a DVD of shorts. I definitely can't wait.

Oh and BTW: With the whole idea with the short you're working on and almost done with sounds interesting. Yeah i even have the hottest g/f ever, i would try and get her to do a 3some. J/k. lol But she is the greatest thing ever and wouldn't need that to happen to me.

Thanks for the continued support. I've hooked up with a producer friend to help out with this short and hopefully we can get this on tv, perhaps TMN/space/showcase. He's got a zombie movie that just might be hitting the DVD racks soon, so once I know for sure if its coming out I'll let you know.

I'll also post some casting info once I find a woman brave enough to play this somewhat sleazy role smile

Erin Brown is someone you should look at and she has plenty of expierence in the genre. Great to her HOP is coming along and can't wait to see it. The DVD of short films would be great because I think we need something to erase the tragedy the was Creepshow 3. If you haven't seen it, don't bother, it's garbage.

That's too bad, I know she also uses the name Misty Mundae I think. I don't know I just remember her being pretty attractive and a decent scream queen and had no issue with nudity.
