Yeah, we had a thread on this a few weeks ago when it was added to Terrorfeed. It comes out October 16th on DVD.

I just watched the trailer for it and it looks okay to me. I liked the House on Haunted Hill remake and this one looks just as good to me.

I'm not excited for this, either. The "HOHH" remake was dreadful. I will never watch that shitty movie again.

I appreciated the HOHH remake a little bit, but the whole angle involving children really turned me off. It was too sappy. I see no good reason to revisit this.
What I really want to see is "Hell House" done right.

OK - I'm a doofus. I was thinking "The Haunting" in my above post. The two are so interchangeable to me that I got them mixed up. However, I am interested in seeing this return b/c my favorite aspect of the 1st film was the psych ward freaks. I loved Dr. Vannacutt and how they filmed his movements.

I'm one of the few who did enjoy the House on Haunted Hill remake - save for the CGI-heavy ending.
I saw the trailer for this one and caught glimpse of Jeffrey Combs, who I'm a big fan of, so I'll be checking this out.
