Re: Getting to know each other

With me, it's been neven longer.

Re: Getting to know each other

Going back to a question asked earlier, yes, I was once caught beating my meat.  I was 11 or 12 at the tiime-probably 11-my father.  He acted as if it were the most heinous act on Earth and ended up treating me even younger than I was-spanked my bare butt with a hairbrush.  Moronic idea.  I never did develop a guilt complex about it, though, just learned not to get caught.-------Next question is what magazines do you regularly read?  My choices would be MAD,  MENTAL FLOSS and ID as well as a smattering of fanzines like KOBBLOG,  FADEAWAY and James D. Dawson's whole bunch.  FATE and FUNNY TIMES used to be in my regular diet too, but I haven't seen them around in ages.  Does anybody know if they're still in publication other than online?  Oh-the whole slew of UFO zines, too.  Off and on, I read ROLLING STONE and HISTORY TODAY.

Re: Getting to know each other

I wrote FANGORIA off years decades ago.  Not that good-has it changed?-and the price kept shooting up catastrophically when I left-guess they figured their stable of little kids could be conned into anything-what is it now-$20 an ish?  The few RUE MORGUES that I've seen might have grabbed me, though.  Become a regular in my feading diet if it were sold around here.

Re: Getting to know each other

Well 20$ is what EVERY one cost nowadays and I find it affordable. Damn, 20$ for 12 issues, it's great, Playboy costs 60...

Re: Getting to know each other

Ghost Daddy -- Tony Timpone, editor of Fangoria since the mid-80s, retired in 2010 and was replaced by Chris Alexander, who used to write for Rue Morgue.  Now Fango tends to do a lot more retrospectives, more coverage of independent films and a few more features each month.  It's still a good mag but personally I miss Timpone's editorial style.  Then again I'm stubborn and hate change, so...

Re: Getting to know each other

If there's one thing I'm good for, it's throwing my useless trivia in peoples' faces.

For those who don't know, "useless trivia" is what I call my penis.

2 words one doesn't want applied to their willy.
Though I find the "throwing" aspect to be interesting.  Makes me wonder if it a screw-on (heh) or more like a Lego detachable appendage.
(I don't take enough drugs to participate in these types of discussions.)

I'm sad to say that the King Missile song "Detachable Penis" was, indeed, about me. hmm

I was talking $20 a single issue, not for 10.
