Woooooooooooooooo man what a cool list...

Re: Movies You Just Bought

Wal-Mart just got in a new stock of BLACK WATER VAMPIREs.  I discovered I was still carrying the old cracked copy in my backpack so I traded for a new one.  Let's hope this one isn't cracked, too.

Very nice purchase of sets, dude. Full Moon is yet another facet of horror cinema that I mean to explore at some point. Subspecies, the first film, is pretty decent. Haven't seen any of its sequels.

Re: Movies You Just Bought

Not bought, but a postal correspondent just sent:  FRACTURE,   HUJMANS VS. ZOMBIES, and two of those collections you get at Wal-Mart including HILLBILLIES WITH HATCHETS which begs the question of what's next-NIGGERS WITH KNIVES,,  CHINKS WITH CHAINSAWS?

Re: Movies You Just Bought

1. Night of the Comet : I've been wanting this movie for a long time now. I'm glad it's going to be a part of my collection soon.
2. Night of Creeps : I can't believe it took me this long to get this movie it was out there for the longest I just kept procrastinating to get until it became hard to find or afford. I don't go over 10 bucks to buy a movie. I rarely go over 7.
3. China Trilogy : Cant go wrong with Jet Lee
4. American Gothic : Very old movie but close to my heart. Not going to lie it hadn't held up good to the test of time. This is definitely a movie I wish was redone.

Re: Movies You Just Bought

NIGHT OF THE COMET and NIGHT OF THE CREEPS are recommended, but unless it's ANOTHER AMERICAN GOTHIC, I found that one just passable.  Not a turkey, but nothing to write home about.

Re: Movies You Just Bought

Mike -- The Once Upon a Time Series is actually a quadrilogy, the fourth movie being Once Upon a Time in China and America.  I'm a fan of that series myself.

Night of the Comet is a fun, very 1980s flick.  Night of the Creeps is recommended viewing.  No comment on American Gothic other than to say I've seen it and...well...like I said, no comment. tongue

Didn't realize there was a fourth flick in the Once Upon a Time in China series, I liked the first 3, some of Li's best.

Re: Movies You Just Bought

Puppet Master -- I've only seen parts 1,2 and 4.  Dug the first one quite a bit.  Parts two and 4 were decent.

SOV short list -- again, keeping in mind SOV flicks are an acquired taste:

Shatter Dead (1993)*
Bloodletting (1997)
Polymorph (1996)
Original Sins (1995)
The Vicious Sweet (1997)
Gut-Pile (1997)
Eyes are Upon You (aka Demonlust, 1998)
The Sandman (1995)
Slashers (2001)
Red Spirit Lake (1993)*

*contains scenes of graphic sex

Re: Movies You Just Bought

Thank you, sir.

Re: Movies You Just Bought

No problem.  Those are some of the more readily available ones I can think of, but still some of them might take some effort to track down.  Once you've given them a try, if you decide you're an SOV fan, I can give you a couple dozen more titles to track down. smile

Thor: Dark Worlds
Bad Dreams/ Visiting Hours

Very cool bunch, I freaking loved Scarecrow. smile

Cost me 40$ and I got these:

Hit And Run
Insidious 2
Riddick
Equilibrium Which I haven't seen it for years and it's a real blast of a film.
The East Ellen Page and Skasgard??? Oh yes that'll be cool.
Wolverine
Soul Surfer Such an amazing and touching story about Bethany Hamilton that got her arm cut off by a shark and had a lot of great courage to keep surfing and winning. I love this girl and her determination is badass.

So yes, for the price I'm pretty satisfied with them. big_smile

Okay. But you asked for it, P. big_smile

My latest, gigantic horror film haul -- the biggest I've ever done in my life. I spent a butt-load of cash on these, but each item had a decent price, so I just went all out. Ran my Amazon cart up to 50 items, selected free shipping, and should be receiving my orders within a week or so. I tell you, I am psyched. Here's the list:

The Mother of Tears Trilogy: Suspiria, Inferno, Mother of Tears.
Burial Ground: The Nights of Terror

Castle Freak
The Mummy (w/ Christopher Lee)
Village of the Damned/Children of the Damned (double F.)
My Bloody Valentine (original -- supposedly the uncut version)
My Bloody Valentine (remake -- 2D and 3D option)
The Birds

Conquest
New Gladiators
