Then out of nowhere comes the blond dude and the bags and the bowling alley (I think it was a bowling alley, having a hard time remembering) and it totally lost me.
Here is the best way I can describe that character:
He is John Mark Karr.
He isn't actually responsible for the Suicide Club (he didn't actually kill JonBenet Ramsey) but he is a creep who wants to take credit for it. He is an evil person because he did kill people (child porn charges) but all he would really wanted was to become famous and take credit for starting the Club (take credit for the murder.)
It could have actually been left out of the movie, but it was such a great scene and made things even more interesting. At least for me.
That helps a bit. Thanks for the exposition, I hadn't even thought of the flick until I saw and replied to this post today, and the who's and why's have been nagging at me ever since.
