thought i'll write few words 'bout "pora mroku' since i'm pole
first of all, the closest translation of "pora mroku" would be "time of darkness" or sth like that not "big gloom" as someone wrote here
movie is about group of friends who are looking for they lost pal. they end up in some old factory where nazis made experiments that involved transfering human consciousness to another body (or sth like that).
secondly, i wouldn't be so optimistic, to tell you the truth, polish horrors proved that our directors do not have the foggiest idea how to shot them. the last horror movie called "legend" was nightmare, they tried to make a horror but unconsciously they made a comedy and probably one of the worst movies ever
i really want "pora mroku" to be different and turns out to be a great horror flick but i'm sceptical, trailers always look great no matter what crap they promote. first, i'll wait for some reviews and if people evaluate it positively then i'll give it a try, cause i don't want to waste money on another crappy movie.
it might be weird that I defame cinematography of my own country, but I;m just honest. i'm a big horror fan, but I haven't seen any good polish horror movie yet. however, I hope that "pora mroku" will be a good movie.
