Casino Royale !!

I think there is a certain bond look, and 'mnot sure he has it, but it does look action packed. It might be a good movie, I'm never sure about a new bond until I see them in action.

Actually Casino Royale was made into a movie before the one with David Niven.  This one serious and apparently part of some series called CLIMAX!  Peter Lorre (Casablanca, M, The Maltese Falcon) played the bad guy and Barry Nelson as Bond.

Only seen a clip of it on A&E or AMC or another station like that a few years ago when they did a special on Bond around the time the last one came out.

I think Daniel Craig will do a good job and turn a lot of his detractors into supporters.  I think the big beefs everyone had was the fact he was blonde and Brosnan was the Bond everyone was liking.  But, I can imagine this kind of thing happened every time another actor took over the role of James.

But for Craig, role in Munich definatly gave me a good impression he would be able to pull it off.  As I remember from reading a few of the books back in middle/early high school...Bond was definatly colder and Timothy Dalton had that and I hope Craig brings that to the screen and mixing the charms that Connery and Brosnan had.

Course, can't tell till the movie is released.

No worries...my dad has all of the original books down in the basement.  I should say that outside of the basic idea, some of the movies vary drastically from the books as I remember.
