For me, it's the exact opposite. I thought Hostel was 100X better than Feast. But don't get me wrong, I loved Feast. I even bought it. Hostel is just one of my favorite films of all time and I admire Eli Roth as a filmmaker very much.

to me hostel was way over hyped, kinda like slither. I liked hostel but it wasnt the amazingly terrifying film it was billed as.

The Descent (make sure you see the UK release....which I think is the "uncut" version that just came out here this week).

I thought Hostel lived up to the hype it was given. I went into it expecting a torture flick with some boobs and thats exactly what I got. Hostel is #1 in my book. But, to each in his or her own.

2001 Maniacs, Hills have Eyes, Slither I guess would be number one, Feast, Saw 3, The Descent, and Silent Hill were the top of the crop in my opinion. They were all very different from each other.

yeah i agree with tim even if you look at the poster your expecting torture but with eli roth you get boobs look at cabin fever hostel and i except with hostel part 2 the same thing boobs and torture

Personally I felt like The Descent got a little bit to much hype.. I think its still number 2 on my list but it received an uncanny amount of hype.. The ending was very disappointing.. They should have kept the original one..

As stated in another post, of these movies I've only seen Feast. I thought it was one of the best I've seen. I am still waiting to see some of the other films including Hostel, The Decent, and Slither.

I'd definitely go with The Descent. It actually creeped me out, and BEFORE the monsters even showed up!
2nd would go to The Hills Have Eyes remake. I thought it was great.
I still haven't seen FEAST or SLITHER. Gotta get on that.
