Does anybody know how to resize a picture to make it your avatar?

Open your picture in any decent graphics software and re-size it to something like... I don't know anyway not any larger than 75 pixels x 75 pixles and save as a .gif type file.
If you don't have any graphic software avalible or are having a difficult time with it. I can do it for you in a matter of moments. Email it to skidog@charter.net and I'll email it back to you. Please remember, though, that I am at work and may have pressing business to attend to at times.

i use photobie as a software and have made my avatar simply by resizing the pic file...gif is a good format make it like 80x70 or so..

You should be able to do it with a regular paint program. I think that is how I did mine. I'll look into it and let you know.

XnView and IrfanView are free easy to use image programs
