Ok, the year is winding down and I was curious to what people's favorite musical releases
were for 2008. At first, I thought to myself that this was a pretty mediocre year, but upon compiling my list there was actually a lot of good stuff released (at least when it came to the heavy)
Here's mine, what you got?

Brant Bjork - Punk Rock Guilt (stoner groove with an edge)
Eagles Of Death Metal -  Heart On (good fun, if you don't shake your ass, you're dead)
Coffins - Buried Death (this album slowly crushes everything in its path)
Enslaved - Vertebrae (worship the nordic beast that is - black metal at its finest)
Colour Haze - All (groovin' and spacey goodness, fire one up)
Hail Of Bullets - Of Frost & War (you'll scare the piss out of your neighbors with this one)
Torche - Meanderthal (heavy and melodic, very underrated band)
Farflung - A Wound In Eternity (these guys create a vibe all their own, indescribable)
Blood Of The Sun - Death Ride (Austin, Texas boys doing their deep fried heavy blues)
Rebreather - Sunflower (from Ohio, this is another highly underrated band)
Graveyard - Graveyard (retro heaviness, guys were great opening for Clutch this year)
Iota - Tales (an epic album that deserves more exposure)
