Topic: Horror Authors Who Have Inspired You

In your life,

What author/s books have you read and who has inspired you the most in your life?
If you want to venture/ have broken into the world of directing who was your influence in the Horror Author
area?

Easy!  Ray Bradbury.  I read him voraciously when I was a little girl.  His concepts pop up all the time in my writings and sometimes I'm not even aware that's where they came from.

Stephen King has always been a favorite.  His book "On Writing" changed my life...in some respects lol.   But I love, love, love Richard Matheson.

I'm sayin.  I love his series.  I would be so ecstatic if someone (competent) turned them into a film.  Some of those situations and deaths would equal AWESOME on screen.  smile

Nick Tosches - In the Hand of Dante - not a horror novel per-se, but so very, very dark.
