This sounds like a nice idea.  Though I think it would be better if she didn't have a hulking protector, say like 'Alice' from "Resident Evil" or 'Anita Blake'  (2 Anitas in one day, odd).

Very much so .. on the other hand it has the potential to be a huge steaming pile of crap .. but then again so does every movie. At least it has potential.

Never read the comics, but this sounds like a great concept. Hopefully it will not turn into another Van Helsing.
