Topic: "Nightmare" theatrical re-release on Sept 21 and 22.

I just read on www.imdb.com that New Line Cinema is re-releasing the original " A Nightmare on Elm Street" in 124 theatres across the country for two days only before the DVD comes out a few days later. In addition, after the end credits, a snippet of Freddy's best kills will be shown from all 7 movies.

Luckily for me, there's a theatre near that will be picking up a print. My only question is this: Why not in October?

It's a perfect time for me to post a review up. Anyone else planning on seeing it for a midnight showing? Creeps, man, major creeps.

A nightmare on elm street is one of the best slashers IMO and is a classic.  I dont know if its playing in a theatre near me, but if it is you can count on me being there.  I dont think I would miss it...

The film is being shown on Sept. 20 and 21 at 8pm. You can buy tickets and see where it is playing at the link below.. I plan on hitting up a screening.. There is a theatre about 30 minutes away that I'll be seeing it at..

Just call me awesome.

If I was more awesome, I would have bought a couple extra and ran a contest for them on the site. But sadly, my awesomeness stops at the spending money part.

I have the biggest sh*t eating grin right now, not only because this theatrical screening is happening, but because the nearest theater is about 2 minutes away from my house. Onnne, two....

I got my tickets and I am gonna be there tonight.. Did anyone go last night or are you going tonight? It should be a blast because I will finally get to see a classic of the genre on the big screen.. I've seen a couple but its always great to see another..
