I have to say, the mods have been very, very good at keeping the spammers ut. I owe you all adult beverages. But if you could keep the fun ones on for a little bit, that would be fine, too.

i've noticed that the spammers have started commenting on news items and reviews.
briantcombs555 has posted to smelly, spammy comments on jmhs review of 'Dead Space'.......and stolen my avatar! 
this is me reporting it.......so i don't owe cap any toe tags!

We get a lot of spam that mentions “amateur” in the subject line but when I look at the pics in the thread; everyone in them really seems to know what they’re doing, they don’t seem amateurish at all.

This is annoying, and kind of weird- a new account will show up, make some rational posts on a couple of threads, and then spam with movie download sites. The pattern seems to be the same each time. Always in the morning (my time). This can't be a 'bot, unless Skynet got unleashed early, so who (and why) spends the time to do this?

Possum, every TV 'pundit' is a moron, since they have to be controversial. I watch the financial guy on FoxNews, but he's boring and draws no eyeballs. Bill is just less of a moron since he brings on 2 other morons that have opposite views.
For the record, I'm independent. Which sorta blows since in Pennsylvania it means I can't vote in any primaries. But I don't believe in 'party platforms' since: 1) They all lie anyway, and 2) The 'platforms' are normally based on 1 or 2 'ideas.'
In non-political stuff I've seen Bill on, he's a great guy; he actually seems to give a shit about stuff. But as a media personality, he has to cause a stir. That's where I was coming from.
