check out the link below. Seems that they are promising a Rated R rating in the remaking of Stephen King's  "IT"

Re: "IT" remake will be Rated R

Give me Tim Curry as Pennywise again and then count me in. Curry was insanely fantastic as IT (the clown) and I'd love to see him reprise the role. He really was freaky and made that role come to life.

The R rating gives me hope. Not because it's the highest but it may be able to do justice to the story and show the parts not able to be seen prior. There was a lot in the book I would love to see transferred to the screen that never happened originally.

One thing I am sure the remake can do that the mini-tv series with John Ritter was unable to do is actually give a tight, dark and scary ending. The original one felt like a complete cop out and I would love to see them bring some menace back to the story of IT.

All I ask is they think of Curry, no one can do justice to Pennywise other than him, other than that? I am curious and def. interested in this film be it remake or otherwise big_smile

Re: "IT" remake will be Rated R

Oh no not another remake and not IT! Steven Kings IT is an awesome movie and shouldn't be messed with imo. Why dont they leave our classics alone.

Re: "IT" remake will be Rated R

Yes Tim Curry would be excellent re-cast

maybe Gary Oldman ?

I think Seth Green could play an adult Richie Tozer

Re: "IT" remake will be Rated R

Seth Green would be fantastic and a fun nod to the original. He only has a few movies under his sleeves at the moment so could def star in this. I usually HATE remakes lol but I have to admit I'm interested in how this one might turn out. smile And great choice Mistress! big_smile

Rated R for Retarded lol

Re: "IT" remake will be Rated R

This is one of the scariest books I have ever read and the made for tv movie wasn't too shabby.....I always wondered how they'd show the little boys having sex with the main girl, lol.  This should be R.  If it was anything but, I don't think anyone would watch it

Re: "IT" remake will be Rated R

Hm....I was never a fan of IT, but the scenes with the kids reminded me of Stand by me and I really liked that movie. The adult scenes were just so laughable and stupid lol, but a remake of it seems like it'll be even worse! tongue

Re: "IT" remake will be Rated R

Good.  The mini-series never scared me, though I did like Tim Curry as Pennywise.  But, please, no child porn, thanks.

I still don't see how it would be possible to do the book justice with just one film, though.

And I do so hope the movie has a better ending.

Megan Fox for Beverly.  lol

Re: "IT" remake will be Rated R

I always thought Kevin Bacon would make a great IT.

Re: "IT" remake will be Rated R

How long would this movie have to be to do justice to one of kings best,im thinking 4 hours at least.Iwish them luck as the mini series and the movie fell well short

Re: "IT" remake will be Rated R

Tim Curry was awesome in the original. With an R rating, maybe there's hope for the remake.

I thought the mini series was great but i bought the movie on dvd and it had lots of it missing. I hope the remake has all of the story in it.

Re: "IT" remake will be Rated R

I was never a big fan of the TV made movie...Tim Curry was great but it didnt save the film for me...did not do the book justice...hopefully this remake will be darker in tone like the book

Re: "IT" remake will be Rated R

The miniseries is pretty close to my heart and I don't see a single issue with it, aside from some harder to translate stuff left out. The acting in it I think is amazing.

But I am excited!! I think a remake could be just as great!
