Correct me if I'm wrong, but Isn't NightBreed based on Cabal?

Re: So what Horror novels, short stories would you

I believe you are correct hellrat.  Though the story and movie are somewhat different if I remember correctly.

Re: So what Horror novels, short stories would you

DarkFall-Dean Koontz.

Re: So what Horror novels, short stories would you

I could go for a bunch of Dean Koontz books as movies.  I think one was Crescent Cove(?).  About a guy who was super-sensitive to sunlight.

Re: So what Horror novels, short stories would you

Speaking of Koontz - The Bad Place!!

Re: So what Horror novels, short stories would you

Haven't read the story, so I can't compare.  I did like the movie, though.  The thing with King is that it's hard to make a good adaption (Night Flier was darn good, though).  Sort of like adapting Lovecraft stories.  Speaking of which, there is a sci-fi book I own that I read like 15 years ago that was also named The Night Flier.  That would make a great movie.  Something about an alien thingy taking over a spaceship.  Hmmm, I have to check the library.
