Topic: Favourite Movie Trilogies
Ok yes, I am doing a LOT of threads so I am sorry everyone lol, but the mind is on overload. This one is pretty damn simple, what are YOUR favourite trilogies? Not sequels/ follow ups, but trilogies, three movies in succession that all you feel were pretty damn good, and makes the movie a worthy noted contender. There are a lot that can be used as this thread applies to all types of movies inc: Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, American Pie, SAW, Evil Dead, The Silence of the Lambs, Austin Powers, Scream, Ace Ventura, Rush Hour, Blade, Lethal Weapon, Back to the Future, The Godfather, The Bourne Supremacy etc... basically they are tons of trilogies but what are your favourites and why?

What are the most underappreciated trilogies and what's overhyped? Reminisce, enjoy, debate and say your favourites. But above all, have fun doing so Mwah! xoxox

Re: Favourite Movie Trilogies
Evil Dead, certainly!! And classic Star Wars trilogy) Im a huge SW fan
Re: Favourite Movie Trilogies
Good choices Anna! completely agree on the Evil Dead choice. I like all three for very different reasons but imo one of the strongest trilogies in horror.
Re: Favourite Movie Trilogies
The Evil Dead is my favorite trilogy of all time. I also like the original Star Wars trilogy, Scream trilogy, Re-Animator movies and even though the last entry sucked I'm going to say the Suspiria trilogy.

Re: Favourite Movie Trilogies
By far my fav. has to be Lord Of The Rings, these three movies are so well done and flow together perfectly followed by The Underworld Trilogy, hard to say why, I guess I just enjoyed the stories. Blade, I know alot of people didn't really enjoy blade 3, But I did. Have to admit I have never seen Evil Dead 3, guess I will have to fix that little oversite
Re: Favourite Movie Trilogies

Re: Favourite Movie Trilogies
Star Wars (original), Evil Dead, Scream, Lethal Weapons ("whatever you need, Leo Getz. Gets, get it?"), Suspiria trilogy (I liked Mother of Tears), Demons, LoTR, Blade, the first 3 Zombis (after that, it went way off track), Terminator, Night of the Demons, Bourne, haven't seen Godfather 3 so I don't know, Romero's original 3 Deads.

Re: Favourite Movie Trilogies
Omg this is too hard!! Harry Potter <3
Re: Favourite Movie Trilogies
But wait don't they have to be only 3 movies??
Re: Favourite Movie Trilogies
If they go beyond 3 it's fine but the minimum yes has to be 3. Two movies makes a movie and sequel therefore it just cannot be considered a trilogy unless there is a prequel to the two.
Re: Favourite Movie Trilogies

Friday the 13th, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm St, Die Hard, Blade, Terminator
Re: Favourite Movie Trilogies
My all time favorite would have to be The Man With No Name trilogy from Sergio Leone. Easily 3 of the best movies ever made. As far as Horror goes, my favorite is Romero's Dead trilogy. Romero always manages to make intelligent movies, but the first 3 Dead movies are his best and each one could go head to head with any other horror film out there. The Evil Dead would have to be second. I also dug the Ilsa trilogy (She Wolf of the SS, Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheiks and Tigress of Siberia) Hammer's Karnstein trilogy (Vampire Lover's, Lust for a Vampire, Twins of Evil) and Argento's 3 Mothers trilogy (Suspiria, Infeno, Mother of Tears), I liked Mother of Tears too Az. I also gotta mention Indiana Jones (first 3 ONLY), Dirty Harry (actually first 4, I didn't like The Dead Pool) and Sonny Chiba's Street Fighter trilogy, all choice.
