Topic: The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

Two pretty American girls are on a road trip through Europe. In Germany they end up alone at night with a broken car in the woods. They search for help and find an isolated villa. The next day they awake to find themselves trapped in his terrifying makeshift basement hospital along with a Japanese man. An older German man identifies himself as a retired surgeon specialized in separating Siamese twins. However his three "patients" are not about to be separated, but joined together in a horrific operation. He plans to be the first person to connect people via their gastric system, in doing so bringing to life his sick lifetime fantasy "the human centipede".

not really a trailer

no news of release... but from werd on street, slowly but surely

Re: The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

I'd definately prefer to be the head. yikes

Re: The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

I guess they're going for 'shock horror' or 'torture porn' or something like that.  Because.... WHY THE FUCK WOULD ANYONE WANT TO MAKE A HUMAN CENTIPEDE!

Sorry about that.  And did the trailer really need to show a girl get a forced rim job?  I'm all for bad movies, even stupid movies, but this is just... dumb and gross.  I don't think I've used the word gross in about 5 years.

Money went to this shit when Acey could use some more cash flow?  So wrong.

Re: The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

it's gotten a number of reviews...mostly good. It's a shocker.

Re: The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

^ Same Fred. When I heard of the subject matter I was a little off put but I decided to look around online and it's actually got some fantastic reviews. Definitely going to be a love/ hate film, I can't see this having much middle ground. Will be interested to see what others think of it though. smile

Re: The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

Can’t believe they beat me to the punch, I was going to do a film called human centipede. Although my idea had nothing to do with surgery, just lots of lube. I guess I can change the name to millipede, yeah that’s the ticket!
Who wants to make a movie?:D

Re: The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

still a weird idea.....
no thanks

Re: The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

Re: The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

I'm actually looking forwards to seeing it. It looks like some fucked up disturbing shit. I'm all for it.

Re: The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

I really enjoyed this one.  Our genre needs more mad scientists these days!

Re: The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

A cool flick and a great premise. Not much gray area for this film. Was either a loved it or hated it movie. Centipede: Full Sequence, I'm hoping is going to be better than the first installment. From what I've read so far. Full Sequence is gonna be a more over the top film and involves a 12 person centipede. I'm in!

Re: The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

He should have created the centipede from politicians.

Re: The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

I've still yet to check this flick out.  Roger Ebert gave it a rather interesting review and while I typically side with him in his critiques, my own personal tastes, while broad, are nevertheless peculiar.  Simply put, the notion of seeing a mouth stitched to a rectum just doesn't do anything for me.

I don't see myself ever bothering with this flick, but, I agree with J.N. -- modern horror's seriously lacking a mad-scientist element.  And before you ask, no -- I don't think Jigsaw counts.

Well said.
Whoever wrote that movie had their head up their…on second thought that pun doesn’t really work here.
Will say I like movies for escapism, being that I work in a corporate environment, seeing mouths stitched to a rectums isn’t much of an escape.

No, definitely not.

You should check it out, man.  I thought the same thing when I first heard about HUMAN CENTIPEDE, but I really dug it.  The villain is delightfully creepy, one of my favorite movie bad guys in years . . . .

Re: The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

Lon, for all of the hype about it being one of the most disturbing movies ever, it did not come anywhere close to living up to that tag.  And when you think about it, the idea of attaching people anus to mouth is not so much disturbing as it is silly.  I mean it doesn't take a supposed brilliant surgeon to know what is going to happen to the people unfortunate enough to be at the end of the line, especially after you've tried it with dogs and failed.  So what's the point?  However, I will say that the actor who plays the doctor is very good, the best part of the movie imo.  But the rest was really kind of silly and didn't do much for me.

Re: The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

it had alot of dull moments. I dont think it was 'disturbing' just 'disgusting' and not even really that much..It could have been much more disgusting ..
I agree about the doctor. he played his role well. I think it would have been much better if he had other 'patients' held there who had been surgically attached in different ways.

Also, I kept wondering why the girls just didnt just say "hell with it " and try ripping their mouth away.. I mean its the much better alternative. The surgery and stitches were freshly done. I know people who have accidentaly ripped their surgery stitches very very easily...

ah well... I dont have much hope for the sequel

Re: The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

still hasn't come to my local video shop yet1

Re: The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

^That is a great point Mistress, I didn't even think of that.  Had they actually showed the attachment without all of the bandaging around it, it might have been more disturbing to look at.
