Topic: AMC orders pilot for The Walking dead

So, I haven't been on here in ages, but when I saw found this out, I was pretty psyched. Apologies if you guys already noted this back in January when the decision was made, but I figured it gave em an excuse to drop you guys a line.

It appears the AMC has ordered a pilot for a television adaptation of my new favorite comic, The Walking Dead. Not only will the comic's creator serve as a producer, but it's also slated to be written and directed by Frank Darabont.

Why do I get the feeling it will be screwed up?  I love the comic and idea, but we all know how that usually turns out.  sad

Yeah Az, as in the guys that make Mad Men and Breaking Bad.

I think that if the follow the tone of the comic even a little bit, they'll have a home run. And lest we not forget, it's Frank Darabont.

That said, I would love to see the character Donna played by Marcia Gay Harden, I thinks he'd be perfect.

I have read the series, and liked it. Am looking forward to the series no doubt. Let's hope they don't trash it guys??
