True Blood (Page 2 of 3)

No, it was a response to someone saying that "True Blood" was a book series/show for adults, much like "Twilight" was a book series/movies for youngin's.    Nothing to do with the characters in each series, but rather trying to say that "True Blood" is a 'grown up' version of "Twilight", which I completely do not see.

Something like kids playing 'tag' being compared to "Battle Royale".  Sure, they both have a love story, expect one has sparkles and the other has people ripping out throats every other episode.

This television show is going to be good, The second season is going to have alot of surprises I think....

Just got the box set of the books for my birthday, and I love them.  I love the series, and upon reading the book I once again must voice my appreciation for the folks at HBO for staying true.  I swear, had I not seen the show, I'd have loved the books.  Now reading the books, I see the characters, and whoever cast this show needs an award, they did a fantastic job.  Love the concept of coming "out of the coffin".

You know how the retro 80s bands make a comeback? Thats what Id like to see happen with these 1980s B slasher movies. A comeback to the theaters/drive-ins. Not just the popular stuff. I mean, movies like Rocktober Blood. Just once, thats all I ask. lol

I was a fan of the book series long before the TV show but its good...doesn't really follow the books too well...they went off on their own direction in season 2 but at least its interesting

Scary ? Not really. It's a vampire drama with a lot of blood , nudity and sex.

I thought season 1 , it was feeling its way a bit by introducing all the players slowly. Season 2 was better imo , because most of the town's folks and people you already know from season 1 , that's when it got interesting with the introduction of a big bad for the season. I read that some fans thought that the maryann storyline took too long but i loved it.

Wait what ? The vampires in true blood don't walk outside in daylight , i think you are mixing true blood with vampire diaries.

I do not have cable, so I didn't catch this show when it first came out. I am a big fan of Alan Ball and one of my favorite shows of all time is Six Feet Under, so I figured it had to be good. My friend is obsessed with True Blood, and after much prodding, I decided to add it to my Netflix list. Well, one episode in I was absolutely hooked. What a great show! I must admit, I tend to find Sookie very annoying, especially the way she keeps dissing my boy Bill ha ha, but all in all I really love this show and can't wait until season 2 comes out on dvd.

I think it's meant to be out in June/July next year.

The long wait is soon to be over now.
