Reminds me- I just read that some John Holmes porno was going to be done or re-done in 3D.  Now that is a truly horrifying thought.

As for Deep Red, if it's an American production, it'll blow like a dolphin's blowhole.

(I mixed up so many metaphors up there I should be sent to meta-textual purgatory)

Re: Upcoming Sequels and Remakes

Does anyone know anything about Sleepaway Camp: Reunion? let me know if you do thanks big_smile

Re: Upcoming Sequels and Remakes

its sounds like some old skool turd remake

the thing is - when chumps go to remake the originals from the 70's n 80's - scene for scene - because of the improvement on current technologies - the films dont have the same eerie, dirty, scum bag feeling they have from the 70's n 80's - they are always clean and shot in HD - rodriguez is good at creating that dingy filthy scum bag feeling - i love it

Re: Upcoming Sequels and Remakes

Agreed, Zombie.  That's one of the many things which sunk the Last House on the Left remake for me.  Besides the story not even trying to be as shocking as the original, it was too glossy and "high end".  What made the original so successful was it was shot like a documentary, not like it was a larger budgeted film looking to score a good opening weekend and nothing more.

Re: Upcoming Sequels and Remakes

i have only update 2010 remakes and Sequels and will update the rest Later

Re: Upcoming Sequels and Remakes

Has anyone heard of any new regarding the remake of Stephen Kins "IT"???

Re: Upcoming Sequels and Remakes

Thanks! I love this site. Great news and great fans.

Alot of people may hate on me for saying this but I actually look forward to remakes and sequels, as long as they are done well of course. Which are few and far between but the anticipation leading up to the release of some of my favourite films gets me excited, even though 80% of the time they are awful, there are a few they get the proper treatment and actually turn out pretty good. Everyone has their own opinion right. Anyways look forward to talking more with everyone!

Re: Upcoming Sequels and Remakes

^^ Cool avatar! I wouldn't worry about ant haters here. A little ribbing maybe, but all in good fun. I too enjoy a good remake when done right. As you stated though " 80% of then are awful." I have heard that, Let The Right One In, is really good. Haven't seen it myself, but from most of the reviews I've read. It's all positive. Some of my fav remakes to date are, The Hills Have Eyes,  The Thing, Last House On The Left.

I've done the math LOL

Re: Upcoming Sequels and Remakes

I think it's closers to 97.9998%.  Trust me.  The science nerds up at NASA ran it through their supercomputers for me.

I also heard that Let Me In was really good but I haven't seen it yet either, although I think that this whole idea of doing a remake of a movie that is only a couple years old is pretty lame, I can understand why they would remake or "reboot" a movie that is 15+ years old, to update it and possibly put a new spin on an old story and modernize it, that I can handle, but doing a movie that is only a couple years old and much better than its counterpart i.e [REC] vs Quarantine. But hey, thats Hollywood and we all watch these movies regardless because we are horror fans am I right?

it now called Nightmare Vacation VI (2011)  for some reason!

Re: Upcoming Sequels and Remakes

im not happy about An American Werewolf in London..... i mean i expect remakes to be done ("that's hollywood") but in the past 3-4 years weve seem an increase of remakes and not enough fresh material - You can't redo a classic like AAWIL.  It's unique method of using no special effects and still remains a classic today.  Classic's should be left alone...

Re: Upcoming Sequels and Remakes

That took me way to long to update that spot this time around, i shocked they sequels to The Collection (2011) and Shrooms 2!

Re: Upcoming Sequels and Remakes

I have high hopes for 2011 film wise...there are some interesting ones coming out...highly anticipating Sucker Punch and Battle LA

On your current list The Thing isn't a remake, it's a prequel to John Carpenter's film.

(If it's a remake of the original just disregard this because I still haven't seen that one.)
