Of those I have 100 feet &I've ordered Trick R Treat (hmv.co.uk)... and Hills Run Red is currently on special at my local store so am thinking of buyin... I dont part with DVDs (aside from Howling III which I just about threw out of the house) but if you don't care about covers I can burn copies for you.

Yep, I've tried Amazon and will keep on lookin' but alot of these I found to be a little pricey on Amazon.ca...I really should get a mailbox in the states..Stuff on Amazon.com is alot cheaper...

You can order stuff from Amazon.com when you're in Canada, but the shipping is killer; suddenly that deal isn't such a deal once you've factored in the shipping. Amazon.com's shipping fees to Canada used to be reasonable but then they jacked them up a few years ago.

There are some amazing deals through Amazon.com's marketplace, but most of the sellers won't ship to Canada.

I wish there was the equivalent of an Abebooks that dealt with used CDs and DVDs, or that Amazon.ca would get its act together and offer a marketplace service that was as good as Amazon.com's.

My favorite place for mailordering brand-new DVDs is CD Universe:

I've ordered a few things from Amazon.com that still worked out being cheaper than Amazon.ca, even with the shipping. I find that it's usually worth checking out anyway. At worst you waste a few minutes and don't actually put the order through.

What irritates me about the way Amazon.com do shipping is that they charge you a flat "base fee" and then charge you an additional shipping fee for every item you order. So even if you're only ordering one item, like a book or a CD, you have to pay the flat fee plus the per-item fee. For large orders, it's not that big a deal, but when you're only ordering one or two items, I find it ridiculous. The cost of shipping a small item should be covered in the base fee.

It's actually cheaper shipping-wise for a Canadian to order things from amazon.co.uk than from the Amazon south of the border. That seems bizarre to me.

if you just want to watch them to see if they are something you want to own check out extra torrent, I will watch a movie there and if its something I wanna own I then figure out where to get it from.
