After reading that the producers/AMC may start season 2 in July. I began contemplating whether or not this would be a good thing?? As much as I love the show. If not well scripted, it could ruin it. And that would seriously bum me out!

I read June or July reason is to be easier to compete with the new fall line ups that come out a little later

I think the guy that plays the cop looking for his family, what ever the hell his name is, is kinda anoying, still seems clueless of what is all really happening, like it has not sunk in yet that there are zombies and you got to fucking run!

I agree they did an awesome job of character development

Man I never felt heavy emotion before in a zombie movie but when .... ah I forget names but... when she waited all night and made sure no one came near I knew why she di and that moment when she did it hit me man emotionally. No other zombie movie made me care as much as this series.

Just got back a couple hours ago from picking it up.  Good, good stuff.  Cannot wait for season 2.

Speaking of which, I just read an article over on comicbookmovie.com on Edgar Wright having been asked by Darabont to direct an episode.  He turned the offer down because he loves the show and is afraid he'd fuck it up. lol

Personally, I'd love to see him do a straight, dramatic horror story.  I think he could pull it off; as we can see from Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and his fake Grindhouse trailer Don't, he obviously knows his genre stuff.

Darabont should direct an episode since its going to be way more than 6 like the first. I have never read the graphic novels of this nd I don't plan on it in the near to far future so anything goes for me as long as it keeps the main basic plot, well that can't deviate too far, and let it rip
