Topic: I need some help, If anyone can help me! (Related to writing Stories)

Hey everyone!

Okay so, I want to publish a book, and I know what you have to do, get an Agent, and all that stuff. But I need your help on this part, the way I'm working on my book is, a bunch of Short Stories all together, one after the other. There would be over possibly 10 Stories, but these Stories wouldn't be super short either, they'd be short, but not too short.
I'd like to have some opinions on this, would it be better to work on one Horror story as a whole, or have a lot of different Horror stories together? I'm thinking of going with the bunch of Horror Stories together, the way I could describe my book so far is, a book version of the film Creepshow, but more stories. The stories don't tie together at the end or anything, but there just good stories all together.

So, opinions are wanted if you could share yours!

Swollen has the good idea of getting each of your stories published independently.  Then put the stories into an anthology book.  Like King's '4 Past Midnight.'  Unless your stuff is supreme-level schnizzle, it's hard to jump straight to a publishing deal.

Might want to talk to FloridaPossum, LoudLon, and AceofSpades.  They're all writers.

I've been trying, myself, to get enough short stories written to get them published as an anthology. But, of course, it's harder to get a collection of short stories published as a new author than it is as an experienced one. It's possible, but harder.
It's certainly a good idea, though.
