Topic: Paranormal Activity 3.

That's right folks, for those of you who enjoyed the first two the third installment is set to hit theaters Oct. 21 2011.

Re: Paranormal Activity 3.

I didn't think they needed a second one, let alone a third. It's rare that I don't hope for a sequel to a movie, but, to me, Paranormal Activity should've been a stand-alone film, and I have no interest in any copies they turn out to cash in on the first one.
I was impressed by Paranormal Activity. Not because it was a great movie (it was pretty good, and vaguely tense/creepy in spots, but by no means great), but because it managed to work without any of the usual repetitive haunting film gimmicks.
And it helped that I was one of the many people with their name in the credits.

Re: Paranormal Activity 3.

Yeah, they don't need another one. I mean the first 2 are good, I think, but they will just start regurgitating the same stuff pretty much. I don't see a point in another one but as long as there are people that will pay to go see it, then they will keep making them.

Re: Paranormal Activity 3.

^^lmfao...about how I feel about Halloween 3 and all saw movies they made after number 3.

Re: Paranormal Activity 3.

Dude, I am rabidly anti-Paranormal Activity franchise.  The first one was bad enough; the second one blew dog.  Exponentially speaking, a third would likely have the suck factor of a black hole.

Re: Paranormal Activity 3.

I reserve judgement for not having seen the 2nd one

I enjoyed the first, it gave me the chills a couple of times and not too many flicks have that effect.  Plus, I believe in the paranormal, probably helps

Hahaha! Well I liked them so I guess I can't say that.. tongue but I don't expect too much from the third one haha.

Re: Paranormal Activity 3.

Taking another look at the release date, it just occurred to me... Harold Camping's second date, October 21, might be Judgement Day after all. Certainly, God (to quote Lewis Black) wouldn't allow this kind of crap to go down.

Re: Paranormal Activity 3.

If we're just talking money grab, I'll take Paranormal Activity 3 over Titanic 3D re-release myself.

All sequels (for the most part) are just a cash in. I loved the first one and really dug the second. I'll check out 3 and reserve judgment until after I see it.

Re: Paranormal Activity 3.

Re: Paranormal Activity 3.

I liked the original, the second was ok, interesting tie in to the first. but there is NO need for a 3rd. you took a fluke success and are trying to make it into a franchise...stop already.

Re: Paranormal Activity 3.

I liked the first one but found the second one REALLY boring until the end!

Sequels CAN be o.k. but within reason. When they start making sequel after sequel after sequel it really gets old!

i very nearly agree with this comment  except i found all of the second one BORING including the end! very very disapointing especially after the first one was good.

Re: Paranormal Activity 3.

Meh I dont know what to think, Really liked the first one. Second one was worse but I liked how the stories connected. Now with 3 it just might be a bit too much. and the whole bloody mary thing in the trailer was pretty stupid.

Re: Paranormal Activity 3.

I liked the first 2 so i'll watch it.

this.....i can't even...this just needs to stop

Re: Paranormal Activity 3.

Just saw the preview for this and I'm very excited.  Guess I'm the only one on this Thread that feels this way.  Loved the first, liked the second a lot.  Really looking forward to the Third.

I'll say this...if you hated the first one, and thought the second one was the worst movie ever made...you might want to skip the third one.  I am going to go out on a limb here, but my guess is you won't like it.  It will probably be similar to the first two.

Re: Paranormal Activity 3.

The first 2 were ok,so probably i shall watch.

Re: Paranormal Activity 3.

I liked the first 2 but I am a huge fan of found footage...the second one wasn't even as close to as good as the first but I want to see the third because it's a prequel and I wanna know how the hell all this shit really started in the first place lol...i hate movies that never give and explanation, thats all i want, then ill b done..3 is enuf, if they make 4 ill b pissed.

I concur

Re: Paranormal Activity 3.

Looks like it's set to be the new Saw,by which I mean a new movie about every year or two around Halloween.

Re: Paranormal Activity 3.

Christ. The first two were bad enough and so over-hyped, please don't let this become a bloody 12 part franchise. The thing is the first one had just enough about it to make it different, but they are going to follow the exact same formula again and again just for money. No creativity in that, only greed.

Having said that, I seem to be one of the few people who stuck with and loved Saw until the very end. Or not the very end, most probably wink
