Re: Poetic Corner (for the Artist in us)

I found something:
Something I didn’t know was missing.
Something I didn’t know I needed.
It can be a powerful tool.
It’s not for others.
It’s just for me.
It will make me better.
It will make me stronger.
I found my anger.

Re: Poetic Corner (for the Artist in us)

Tale of A Forlorned Angel
~~~~~~~~~~
For once a time, there was a dreary forgotten angel
That was cast aside from the bliss of her heaven
And put upon these mortal plains
Left to defend herself in a precarious world
That feeds on the blood of all angel's pains
Raped and ravaged, beaten and bit she was
In our slimy city streets
And as it was when she climbed the steps of my train
And had herself a seat right next to me
O' Glorious, golden angel
Did rest her weary bobbing head
In comfort on my sturdy left shoulder
And told me the philosophy of her heaven
The order of her universe
And the nature of chaos and disorder
Oh my dear, lovely, pretty holy one
How much longing must I endure
Inside these wistful months on my darling train
Recieving visions from a being so pure
For eternity I have loved and eternity I have cried
Longing for these two souls to be one
To be merged in heart, and died in pride
And for you and I to never part
Yes, dear world, I love my broken angel
Her wings are ripped and scratched
But her face and body and soul are of gold
Much too great for the heavens to ever behold
So let me hold you dear broken one
Let me close you in tender reign
And hear the secrets that you unfold
Upon my train of experience and pain
For I love you dear angel
More then the cosmic god herself
My dear heavenly refugee, live with me
In a palace of wisdom and love
For she said not
and rested her weary bobbing head on my sturdy left shoulder
And when I looked down, she seemed dead
"Please, wake up!", I did implore her
But for her glow was forever gone
Her skin cracked and pale
Her broken wings had melted
Her body weak and frail
and the last inkling of soul; her starry eyes had gone stale!
...The train resumed its rumbling
and smelled of grime and ale.
Goodbye my golden god, my eternal angel love
I am sorry that you were cast aside, like me
Left to defend yourself in a precarious world
That does eat every beautiful thing it sees
Re: Poetic Corner (for the Artist in us)
When the Blackness  engulfs you, you don't want to know anything, or listen to words of comfort
empty words coming from lying mouths
the grey clouds loom overhead
you wish you were dead
Those who you love, they are forgotten about
Those you miss, they grow  a lot closer
you're all confused, an inner anger takes over mostly at yourself
you're not fit to live
the world is better off without you
people say you're cowardly
what a load of bull
you're not a coward at all
you just want the pain to end, as suddenly as it came
but it doesn't.it usually lingers for days, it never really goes away
it lurks in the shadows, waiting, waiting
correction i am a coward! i haven't had the guts to end it all, not yet
one day i will, place your bets
this thing takes hold and spreads the pain
i'm sick of the days of constant rain
i try so hard to not go there again
Re: Poetic Corner (for the Artist in us)
God had meant.
The sun
Her smile
The stars
Her twirl
My love
Her smile
A kiss
Bu it wasn’t so.
Re: Poetic Corner (for the Artist in us)
At Christmas time a time of joy
let's spare a thought for those alone at Christmas
How sad and lonely that must be
And i find i know more people alone this Christmas than i have before
And those who now face the first Christmas without loved ones, young and old
Who have passed away over the last year
I know how that feels from personal experience
It hurts, it tightens the heart
So have a good time
Eat, drink and be merry
Keep yourselves full of love
Fill your homes with peace and togetherness
It can happen to any of us at any moment
In so many different ways
It has happened in the past and will again in the future
It's the way of life, give and take, take and give
So by all means laugh, dance and live
But always have an ear and words of sympathy
And be a shoulder to cry on and dry someone's tears
Because fate finds us all so easily in seconds, and gives us hopes and fears.
Re: Poetic Corner (for the Artist in us)
(For a friend, words of comfort)
~~~~~~~~~~~~

May the gods keep you open
May the gods let you see
May the universe keep you always
and let you roam free.

Walking through the woodlands
Red hair flowing in the sun
Spreading like an ocean
Golden Cherry for everyone

Standing on top of the hill
Like the strong angel you are
Reaching for the brilliant skys
And loved back you are by the stars

My best wishes, dear, are with you
My words and magic too
may it all keep you healthy
May all your dreams come true

The great horned one and tripple godess
Cernunnos, Herne and Pan
Janus and Osiris
Dionysus and the Green Man.

The oceans and the sun
The earth to the sea
The glowing diamonds in your eyes
The love surrounds you and me

There's a picture of your mother
Reflected in your eyes of silver
You told me she was singing for you
But honey, know that we are too.

The moon in all its phases
Are working just for you
May you feel connected
With the fields of energy surrounding you.

May these words reflect truth
And know my blue candel, it glows brightly
In my mind just for you.

Just remember concrete angel
You wear the crown
Our tender thoughts they hold your hand
Our magick will bring you back around.

Through these strong winds and rains
You have stood hard as stone
May you rise above that now
May my dreams give you wings
To bring you safe back home.

Re: Poetic Corner (for the Artist in us)

Are you dead to your world like dried semen
Or are you conscious of the dream?
Are you unaware, and are you a slave
Or are you smart and smiling in sunshine?
Defying reality and embracing the beauty of control
and I'm Swallowed, completely, into the mist of universal dream.
LUCIDITY.

You cant feel
the pain for your soul has fled, leaving you and the life you knew.

You crawl on your knees
Searching searching for.....your not sure.....Love? Happiness? Hope?

You find nothing
you give up slowly, letting reality set in.

You scream one final time
Hoping someone hears, but you forgot

you were left alone
alone in the darkness of your mind

Re: Poetic Corner (for the Artist in us)

I walk among the crowds of people, yet i feel alone
Like a man without a home
The people with the false smiles painted on their faces and the eyes that show cold nothing.
The mouths that spout out what they think you want to hear
And it's the very thing that you fear
You feel like screaming " Lies, all lies"
I can always tell from the eyes.
The dark that lies behind the light
It makes you want to give up the fight
Confused, sad,distressed, heavy in heart, mind and hand
Sometimes it's too much to stand
So never degrade a person so brave, as to crave an early visit to the grave.
There are days when it is such an attraction
And i couldn't give a fuck about anyone's reaction
So sick of living a life that is a lie
Of pretending of feeling things i don't, of enjoying things i don't, of people saying" snap out of it" and you  know you won't.
"You have it good, things could be a lot worse" they say
I know that, but it doesn't make it any better, no way
Nobody's fault, no one to blame
it's just the way i am, am i insane?
I wish i was, wish to hell i didn't know or care
Just fall asleep forever, sitting in  a chair
And end living in this world of despair.

Re: Poetic Corner (for the Artist in us)

Lament for Evolution
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The sun is just disciple forgotten
All the oceans are mere great expanses of writhing philosophies, faces, and perceptions
The think green forests of the South - merely fortresses for great revelations
Despite our great divisions and collisions, our indifference, and our wild sky gods
We are all one consciousness, and floating down stream is all that matters
I can do without your dope, your religion, your sedatives, your pills
And I don't want your malls, your gadgets, your cars, your clocks, or your liquor
I want music and creativity! I want paintings and poetry!
I want a renaissance, I want an evolution!
All that is divine is in the creative, whether it be;
The art of existing, the beauty of a woman, the pages within a book
The fire of aspiration, or the commandments of the soil and tumbling earth
When will our blasphemous, wanton ignorance die for peace?
When will our true indian names prove themselves with great tests?
When will our ego reside long enough for us to conquer death?
Let's clean these grimy windows and open these rusty doors!
Let's see some work, some action, some community!
Let these wistful peace dreams of mine become humanity's aspirations
I want to see some ACTION out there!
I want to see your revolution snakes writhing in the new summer ground on Wall Street.
Choose your own heros and give birth to yourself
Create your worlds and write your novels; be a brand new god for the times
Plant your roses and wear your costumes
Be the first thing you ever thought you were, kill the barrier of doubt, and just...
Create!
Re: Poetic Corner (for the Artist in us)
I wrote this last night, just getting some anger/frustration out. And if one of my opinions in the piece offends somebody, then I'm sorry! But it is art, and I'm just using it for something cathartic. smile
Buy A Seat
~~~~~~~~~~~~
For 20 fuckin' years
We shot our guns
and dropped out bombs
And we pointed our dirty fingers,
Saying we were right and they were wrong
Then when they fought back
We had the nerve to scream and cry
and wonder why
We were all "Under attack!"
But, hey, you fucking blind hypocrites
Don't ya know it is called 'blow-back!'
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And that's just what they did....
They paid us all back & back & back again
How can I thank ya, Dubya, for invading again
Makes it that much easier
To dent your people in
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It wasn't what our fathers meant
But I guess we'll leave it up to the government
Yes, we'll leave it up to our fearless Texan leader
And we'll do it again for our great black cheer-leader
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We'll buy the most comfortable seats
To watch them die
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So now don't you think too hard or get too deep
Let good ol' Dubya
rock ya
Back to sleep
Why don't you wake up you fucking
Mindless sheep
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They're jealous of our freedom, he said
They're a threat with weapons, he said
They're the ones that crashed our planes, he said
Hell, maybe they all need to be dead
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
HEEEEY, don't listen to this FUCKER!
HEEEEY, don't buy into his lying face!
He's serving under a giant corporate dollar
He's a dictator wanna-be ruining the place
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
HEEEEY, wake up all your fuckers!
HEEEEY, why can't you open up just once and listen?
Why don't you pay some fucking attention?
Why can't you put up with different point of view?
Does it not compute with your ignorant solitude?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Set aside
Those numbing drinks you guzzle
Because he's setting in
The very piece of the fascist puzzle
Folding away your last democracy
For fitting in one plutocratic monopoly
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We could kill a GOD
For a little more OIL
And watch some more TV
Yeah, it'll all be over in a little while
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For what we call saftey
We'll control your lives (it gives us oil)
We hold your thoughts & ambition & soul
For you to support the troops and support our war
So C'mon! Don't be so unpatriotic!
Watch your TV and blood-thirst for more!
There's no use to wondering why
When you can buy the best seats & watch them die
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
We are the pedifiles
Of the middle-east
So stop fucking talking, with your threats of peace
So stop jerking off, and support your troops
Nevermind the ever infinitely-occuring institution of hypocracy
It's just not meant for your eyes to see
Instead you can just buy yourself a seat
and watch it all on a big flat screen TV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Watch it, watch it
All the day long
We've replaced every right with a wrong
Watch it, watch it
You crazy sheeple
In our eyes you're consumers not people
Watch it, watch it
Watch it now baby
Grab a gun and bible and feel all over me
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Yeah, buy a shiny diamond ring
But a big expensive TV
Buy some drugs
For the front row seats
and Watch them die!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Watch them die!
Watch them die, die, and die some more
Freedom isn't free we need a war
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
You don't have a choice
anymore
You are just our
Consumer whore
And if you ever try to take a stand
We'll just shove you back down again
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Let's buy a seat!
Die, die, die
For a dirty fucking dollar
Die, die, die
For a criminal white collar
For you to scream even louder
For you to support a little bit more
For you to support our petty fuckin' wars
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Buy a seat, one more time!
Buy a seat, one more time!
Buy a seat, to watch them die
Buy a seat, to watch them die
P.S. This is totally TOOL influenced...
Re: Poetic Corner (for the Artist in us)
i am dead inside the head
my  sanity hanging by a thread
there is still something  in my heart
which do i need most for life to start?
people go by but i'm on my own they ignore my scream
it's like being in a recurring dream
the pain the hurt, i try to hide
but always it's  a long dark ride
do i lay down and die or hold my head up in pride?
it's a conundrum that is getting harder to decide.
Re: Poetic Corner (for the Artist in us)
Don't You Judge Them
When a person takes their own life, because they cannot face another day
Do not turn around and say
" What a coward, what a fool, if there is a problem, there is a way"
It's not always a problem that does the deed, it's a happening, a feling deep from the soul
  Do you really think they want to?, Do you really think that's their goal?
You have a hurt, an intense pain
A cloud comes over you, so full of rain
You feel you'll never smile again
Don't you judge them
Don't you fucking dare
" They had a family, how selfish, now they are left in grief and pain"
  Yes but when you're in that state, you don't think of others. You know the love is there
  But you don't care.
A voice just says " i can't go through this again".
All you want to do is get rid of the pain
  You are sick and tired of going through the same old steps
  The grief that you, and others near to you share
   So don't judge them
   Don't you fucking dare
   They feel that they have done what they can, cried for help, screamed out in anger, frustration and pain
Because for reasons so true to them, they don't want to walk in the road of intense agony and cold endless rain.
In a way i envy them, to me these aren't cowards or selfish, they are brave
  They only seek peace you find in a grave
   Some people just can't handle life
   It's not that you don't care for son, daughter or wife
  I am still here, why sometimes i do not know
    i know that some day i will decide it's time to go
   If you have never felt like this, you're lucky i hope you never do
    But if you haven't been there, you haven't got a clue.
    You realise when people look at you, who are supposed to help.
    I can tell by their eyes, they say " I don't know how to help you, i don't know what to do, and that is honest that is true".
Some act normal, go out and are never seen alive again
They choose a river, or under a bus or train
  Some fight for an answer, they do all they can, they fight for life
  This can happen to anyone, son, daughter, husband or wife
  So next time you hear of someone's suicide
  Be it under a train, off a roof,overdose, cut wrists,drown or a shot to the head
  Just remember " Life's not for everyone", some just think they're better off dead.
  You may not agree with it, to do that is ok
  Do all you can to help someone, but sometimes you can't win
  Just don't be so ready to pour scorn and make unhelpful comments like  calling it a sin
  Sure you get a lot of knocks in life, you get plenty of whacks
  This is a last desperate act, you don't know all the facts
  I have been close, i have been there
  And you might not agree with anything i've said here, but i ask you just to be aware
        Don't you judge them
        Don't you fucking dare
Well that's it i'm done, those of you that know me , know i get depressed, go through stages at times. must get boring for you. it's not exactly fun for me eithier. i've decided to try not to mention it again on this forum, on the emotions page. if i am feeling down i'll just disappear for a while. apart from that i'll carry on as normal. i'll finish with a song that is really my theme song. thank you for putting up with me, you are all good people, some of you much better than that. i appreciate it i really do.
Re: Poetic Corner (for the Artist in us)
Some poetry/lyrics I've written as of late.
The Eyes of Fear
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Let's join just once, seperate-but-together
To watch these suspicous bodies float on our bloody river
Because we must always take necessary precaution
For our safety
Our world is dangerous & littered with evil men & women
We must remember safety
...you know she could have been a witch.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Live in the eyes of fear
Buy a big gun to protect yourself
Lock your doors at night & day
And keep both sharp eyes peeled for suspects
....always a terrorist among us.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We wave the flag for you to pray & worship
Borders and lines seperate all the evils
Living in the eyes of love is overated
....When the eyes of fear are so much more accurate.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Buy a gun, buy some locks, buy some shades
Watch your neighbors and check your friends
Buy a seat, buy a life, and look out of our eyes
There's always a traitor, always an enemy
...that needs to be dispised.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The path has been chosen clearly for you
Now be a good sheep and follow by example.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Watch these guns fire, watch these people murder
Watch these bomb drop & drink your beer
We do it out of love for fear.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We do it for god & country
We do it to keep away the witches
We do it to keep up a dying heeding culture
We do it to protect you & me
We do it to keep us 'free'.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So now buy a gun, check your locks
Forget dissent young patriots
Join the fascist plutocratic monoply
Learn to live and love in the eyes of fear.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Be a consumer, be a patriot
Be a redneck, be an idiot
Live everyday in the eyes of fear
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Go to your job, go to your car
Go to your TV screen & root for the home team
Buy a gun to fuck up the enemy
Everything is as it seems
Never think to question your authority
Buy & live & love in the Eyes of Fear
The Fundamental Atheist
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Let me see you now, Mr. Enlightenment
Seems to me you've become everything you've ever resented
You,
Stuck up atheist
you,
Close minded pessimist
You're just another fundemental, moron, evangelist
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You accuse and point your finger
At every theist religion you know
But when will you point that hypocritic finger at yourself
When will you learn to shatter that arrogant ego?
Learn to love, evolve, and grow.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, c'mon now,
Genius Teacher,
& teach me your lessons of lop-sided reason
enlighten with your attempt to convert me if you please,
In what fuckin' way have you departed from this same old dogmatic disease?
....
You tell me you have no religion.
But I can hear it in your voice everytime that you preach!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just,
Shut up, Wake up!
You don't know half as much as you think
Don't point your twisted, corrupted fuckin' finger at me
Point it at your heart
& tell me exactly what you see.
Just,
Shut up, Wake up!
Alright now, you atheist savior
Fundamental delusion-reliever
Anti-religious dumb ass martyr
Have you become what is to you nonsensical and obscene?
Just,
Shut up, Wake up!
Learn to live in some kind of functional peace.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Proove it, Proove it
(I dare you..).
Proove it, Proove it
(Just try to tell me that you're certain)
Proove it, Proove it
(Just try to tell me you know it all)
Proove it, Proove It
NOW JUST LIKE CHRIST YOU'VE BEEN NAILED TO YOUR OWN WALL.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Proove it?! I can't proove it!
"I'm a dipshit!"
Proove it?! I can't proove it!
I'm a hypocrite!"
Prove it?! I can't prove it!
I'm just a depressive...
Prove it?! I can't prove it!
dissapointed immature obessessive...
Prove it?! I can't prove it!
angst ridden anti-spirit maniac...
Prove it?! I can't prove it!
that's been consumed by the old EGO
