^^ The Scream card has some nice similarities to Munch's 'The Scream.' On purpose or coincidental?

yeah it wasn't on purpose for sure, seeing I was using an actually photo from one of the movies as reference, and I have no clue who Munch is so hahah.

Re: Art Of TypH
holy shit it's been awhile since i've posted some new artwork. I've been very busy with the new place, and the new job at the tattoo shop and promoted to shop manager too so it's alot but i'm freaking loving every minute of it. anyways back to the matter at hand, here is my first new piece of since moving here it's based off of Heath Ledger as the Joker from the Dark Knight. This is the first in a series of framed portraits that will be on showcase/for sale at the tattoo studio! hope you like it folks! I will try and get a good picture of the piece in the frame to show you all what the final product looks like, hope you all like it!

Re: Art Of TypH
my first out of a collection of calssic Sailor Jerry pieces that i've re-done in my own style and added my own touches to the pieces. the first piece is based off of some Sailor Jerry roses, the mom and dad one i'm actually thinking about getting on myself in the near future. the other one is sort of a tribute to my girlfriend.
the other piece may not be for everyone's eyes, contains some BOOBAGE!, it's another Sailor Jerry tribute to the old school tattoo art, this one is a work in progress, going to add shading and colour after sometime. Note the colours on my scan always looks like crap for some reason so i'm going to try to get actual pictures of the pieces at some point and time.

Re: Art Of TypH
The picture of Heath Ledger is really good. I love all the detail you put in his face. You can really see the resemblance.

I'm not really sure yet about the Ottawa Comic Con yet, i'll have to look things over and think about it, because the main one I want to tend for sure will be of course the Festival Of Fear in Toronto. Glad to see your loving my artwork though, what kind of things do you draw?
Re: Art Of TypH
Good stuff as always, T. I'm really digging the Emma Davis drawing. Ophelia -- no need to be shy. There's no such thing as a bad artist; we just all have different styles. Post away.

Festival of Fear sounds fun too! I'll have to see if I can drag my husband to that (He's not a horror fan) I like to draw all sorts of things-People, animals, fantasy stuff- and use different mediums like watercolours, pencil crayons, pastels, etc. I'm also trying to learn comic book inking at the moment, it's an expensive learning curve with the cost of materials! @LoudLon-Thank you for the encouragement. Once I have a few decent ones, I'll post them.

Thanks Lon, glad to see your liking the new stuff alot, yeah it was a real blast drawing Emma with her day of the dead make up on. @Ophelia:yeah FOF is always a great event and who knows maybe if your husband goes he will get into horror stuff, best of luck with your comic book inking, getting into any art forum is always going to be expensive that's for sure, i've been trying to get into doing watercolouring painting and painting in general but have no clue where to start haha.

Re: Art Of TypH
here's the final product for my tribute to Bill Hinzman from Night Of The Living Dead:1968The scan doesn't seem to be showing a lot of the 20% Warm Grey Shades, at least I personally don't think it does.I will take a better picture of this piece monday while at work. Hope you folks like it! Done with 20% and 30% Warm Grey Prismacolours, black steadtler and sharpie marker and a white ink for highlights.
