Of course, I understand why he would not want his father's last name. But the expectations must be sky-freaking-high. I just recieved "Horns" as a gift and will be reading it over the next couple of days.
I have been reading Lock and Key for a while and didn’t realize he was King’s son. He really impressed me hearing him on the horror panel at wonder con. Interesting dude seemed like a real fan of horror. he was very cool to come out and sign comics and talk to people after the panel, gave the impression to be a really cool guy. I’ll definitely be checking out his books now.
I've read maybe half of his short story collection "20th Century Ghosts" and I loved it. Haven't finished reading "Heart Shaped Box" yet, but I wasn't crazy about it. It moves too quickly and breezes past way too many details I feel could flesh things out for my taste.
Horns I've heard is much more detailed and I am very interested in reading that one.
