Re: Mainstream DVD's recently purchased:

Barely mainstream but I picked up:

THE MILL & THE CROSS on Blu-ray.

HMV here in Canada actually had it WAY cheaper than amazon.ca and even two bucks cheaper than amazon.com so I couldn't help myself.

V For Vendetta 9/10

Very good flick.

Re: Mainstream DVD's recently purchased:

^^^ You should read the source comic.  Talk about deeply, deeply complex...  The use of the letter "V" as the character's name, the roman numeral, a visual symbol and the character V's use of it as the initial letter in sequences where he uses alliteration will blow your mind.

Alan Moore is a hell of a writer.  A bit of a bitchy prima donna, but the dude's stuff is almost impossibly rich.

I haven't been into comics for a few years now, but I've been wanting to get back into them. If I decide to take a trip to a comic book store in the cities (maybe this summer with a buddy of mine), I'll look for V For Vendetta. You've grabbed my attention.

...really want to get into The Walking Dead comics as well, I've never read any of them.

Lots of good stuff there, Davey boy.  For some reason, the fact that you also like Shoot 'Em Up makes me like you even more. lol  Love that flick; it's almost like a live action cartoon.
