Phenomena by Goblin

Post your favorite soundtracks. Hell, let's make a playlist off of all of this.

Re: Horror Soundtracks

Demons, Suspiria, Hellraiser, Halloween (top of my head).  Having problems finding full soundtrack links.
Insidious's music kept me on edge, but I don't know if you'd call that a soundtrack.

Re: Horror Soundtracks

Literally everyone you posted is one I have on my itunes. I haven't seen insidious yet but i hear semi hood things. Demons is so underrated too. It's cheesy and just fantastic to listen to. I take a few with me to class when I'm working on my short stories and it helps to write them. Even if it's not horror fiction.

I'm going to definitely add Tenebrae to this list. Just fantastic stuff.

Re: Horror Soundtracks

Gotta love Goblin!  My favorite soundtracks are Repo! The Genetic Opera and John Carpenter's Halloween

Re: Horror Soundtracks

Nightmare on Elm St. 3.  Scored by the same man who scored Twin Peaks.  Movie is also directed by Chuck Russel who directed The Mask and Eraser.

Assault on Precinct 13, Prince of Darkness to add to Halloween which was already mentioned.

Phantasm

Suspiria of course was mentioned, that shit is awesome and reminds me of Phantasm, but in Suspiria the whispers and voices in the music make it that much better.

Near Dark scored by Tangerine Dream is pretty damn nice

Nightmare on Elm St. 4 has a few AWESOME songs.  "Back to the Wall" By the Divinyls you can find on Spotify.  Great dark 80s pop track.  Also that movie has a song called "running down a nightmare" I believe and it is performed by the leading actress herself Tuesday Knight.  Classic stuff

Lost Boys

Death Proof

Carrie

Night of the Comet has some pretty damn great songs.  I need to get my hands on the actual soundtrack I'm sure it is great.

Re: Horror Soundtracks

The Aliens score is excellent aswell and creates a perfectly foreboding and dark atmosphere at the start of the movie.

Re: Horror Soundtracks

Prometheus.

Re: Horror Soundtracks

Goldsmiths scores on both the Gremlins and Poltergeist

As original as this seems, Friday The 13th. It gives me chills, yet it still is a bit laid-back.
