Topic: Ur Favourite Horror Posters

What are ur favourite Horror movie posters. As I am studying Graphic Communication i have always been interested in Poster art, specifically Horror. I have 3 books on Horror movie posters all with excellent reproduction of examples from around the world. These are The Art of Hammer, The Art of The Nasty and Film Posters: Horror

Interesting geometric, yet unusual layout

I particularly like the repetitive use and position of Typography in a post modern layout to emphasise the polish word for bird and its position within the composition. This clever graphic approach makes it appear very bold, almost threatening(like the horror film) and kinetic like its coming suddenly toward the viewer. This is also achieved by the increasing point size of the Typeface.

This 1927 Metropolis Poster is reportedly the most valuable movie poster of all time.  It is going up for auction again soon and is supposedly worth $1,000,000.

How to post a pic:
1-  right click and save whatever pic you want to your hard drive
2-  upload that pic to photobucket
3-  copy image code from photobucket
4-  paste image code on HM


Note- you may have to wait until you have a higher post count
