UV- You should not be flamed for liking a movie or expressing your opinion about them.  So no worries about that.  I think the problem most of us have with remakes is that we know the originals very well.  We might have watched them several times and like the actors or the practical FX better in the original.  It has to be a good combination of actors, dialogue, or good FX for me to like the remake as well. For example the NOES remake would never be as good for me because I love Robert Englund as Freddy and nobody can replace him.  Another problem with remakes is that I already know what is going to happen and I already know the characters so there is nothing new and exciting about the story usually.

UV - Feel free to voice your opinion.  If you do get attacked (rare) it will be dealt with.  That's what so many people, like me, like about this Forum.  There are some heated discussions sometimes, but the pricks don't last long here for the most part.  smile  That said...most people here agree that my opinion is always right, so just never challenge me.  wink

I love the My Bloody Valentine Remake

I WISH House By The Cemetery would get a remake, I think Rob Zombie would shine on that one

and now to say I was not impressed by remakes of Halloween

Rob zombie seems to do better with his own original work rather than his remakes. While Halloween wasn't an awful film, it didn't really impress me. I found my mind wandering off to think about other things. I did my shopping list while watching it!
