Topic: Joe Bob Brigg's Monstervision on TNT - anyone remember?

I loved watching whatever came on Monstervision years ago. Loved it even more when Joe Bob would just ramble on about something that either involved the movie or just random stuff about his life lol.

I think I still have 2 old vhs recording tapes that still have Phantasm II and Tom Savini's Night of the Living Dead remake recorded from Monstervision.

Oh, heck yeah.  That and USA's Up All Night- Hell Comes to Frogtown, baby!  And wow was Rhonda hot back then.  big_smile

And Movie Macabre with Elvira and going even further back was Tampa, FL horror host called Dr. Paul Bearer that hosted Creature Feature on Saturdays. I miss those days.

I never got around to watching much Monstervision.  Not that I was opposed, I was just usually busy.  I got to check it out a time or two, though, and enjoyed Joe Bob's segments.

We really need some new Horror Hosts!  I always stopped to see what Joe Bob Briggs was showing...lol

This is the horror host I grew up with in the late 70s/early 80s.  Used to watch him every Saturday on WDRB channel 41 out of Louisville, KY.

We get Svengoolie here on Saturday nights. I watch him from time to time when he's playing something good. But...he's no Dr. Paul Bearer. God, I loved that guy. He was creepy even when he was out of character. He had a glass eye and drove around town in a hearse. One of my best childhood memories.

Hey, Paul Bearer!  I got to watch him only once, when my mom and then-step dad took us to Silver Springs for Christmas back in '85.  Ah, memories...

Re: Joe Bob Brigg's Monstervision on TNT - anyone remember?

Back then in the mid 1980s there was Commander USA hosting USA Network's Saturday movie specials. That and USA Network had some Saturday Night terror thing going on also.

Then in the 1990s it was Joe  Bob Briggs and the Monstervision on TV with 100 & Weird late at night. God I loved that stuff lol.

I really should dig through my old VHS tapes and find if I still have 2 of those vhs recording tapes that still have some Monstervision airings of Phantasm II and Savini's Night of the Living Dead

Re: Joe Bob Brigg's Monstervision on TNT - anyone remember?

The Tampa area still shows old Movie Macabre episodes with Elvira on Saturday nights. I watch her every time I go over there to visit family.
