Looks like old man Carp needs a little cash again. I've seen interviews with him and he is not afraid to talk about how nice it is to still be able to make money off of Halloween, and all of it's remakes. Wish he could squeeze out one more gem but the industry has crushed this man so much I don't think he has it in him. Hope it plays near me though...
This is probably the best news ever, and if it releases anywhere near I know I will be going for sure. They re-released Jaws here earlier this year too so there is a chance for me.
I saw this in theaters twice actually.. A little theater I use to go to did a showing.. Probably Illegally and I also saw it when they did that big re-release about 5 years ago..
Unfortunately they are not playing it in my town.. I guess I'm not really mad though because like I said I saw it in the theater twice already.
Saw the theater list today and it will be playing close to me. The most excited I've been for a theatrical release since the Halloween remake was released LOL.
Audience reactions during the finale of the 1979 re-release. It's only a couple minutes but I thought it was a lot of fun hearing the audience shreking from 33 years ago:
I checked out the list of theaters it's playing at last night. No place anywhere near close to me. Guess I'll have to wait another thirty years for another re-release.
