Topic: Can you get Toxic Avenger 2 Uncut on vhs?

Hey guys! I have not been here for a little bit because my college started and I've been busy.

I'm curious to whether or not I can find toxie 2 on vhs. Now I've read there are editions out there that say unrated, but actually are not.

Some movies, Halloween for example, belong on vhs. In fact the only carpenter approoved dvd is vis quality. If you think movies like Blair Witch or basket case belong on blu you're getting swindled.

^^^ I agree, not every film is made better by digitalization.  The horror/grindhouse/exploitation stuff of the 60s, 70s and 80s -- the graininess and grittiness of many of those films are half the charm.

I agree aswell. Its been pointed out countless times before without its grainy almost doc like feel the original TCM would have not had that same raw terrifying power i experienced on my first viewing of it which consequently was the experience that properly got me into Horror. I do believe that they sometimes release a VHS version of older films in limited editions.

Oh, and to answer the original question, what you want is the Director's Cut, which is unrated.  Like the first Toxic Avenger, the R-Rated version comes in a white box; the unrated version comes in a black box.

As a matter of fact, here you go:
http://www.amazon.com/Toxic-Avenger-Unr … B000006RM5

And here's an article discussing the differences between the rated and unrated versions:
