Topic: What is this song?

A thread for those who are looking for the name of a song and the artist.

Re: What is this song?

I'll start this puppy off, by repeating a question I asked many moons ago and never got a correct answer to.

It's a song from the mid-90s -- I'd say '95, '96.  It's a mid-temp, heavy distortion alternative rock song about a guy in love with an underaged girl.  The only lyrics I remember are "Stay with me Diana," and I seem to remember a mention of the girl being sixteen.  Which leads me to think -- I say think, I am not entirely positive -- that it could be a 90s alt-rock cover of the Paul Anka song Diana, which shares that same lyric line.

But before folks start dropping guesses, it is NOT a song by any of these bands:

Changos Del Rock
Warren Dean Flandez
Ricky Martin
Johnny Hallyday
Humphrey

Or any of the other first-page results from google.  I know; I've checked every damned last one of them.  And again, I'm not even sure it's a cover.  I just remember mid-tempo, distorted guitar, and a dude singing "Stay with me, Diana."

HELP!

^^
Still looking for that one, eh?

Re: What is this song?

Always, man.  You know how you can be sitting around, reading a book, surfing the web, and next thing you know you find yourself repeating a single lyric of a song, the agony of your inability to remember more of it like a red-hot knife being twisted into your cerebellum as if by the hand of a gleeful Spanish inquisitor?

That, for sixteen years. hmm

Re: What is this song?

Appreciate you taking a shot, 'rat, but that's not it.  Like most 90s alt-rock it's slower paced than that, with more of a laid back feel.  But thanks for taking the time to help, my man. smile
