Topic: Short Films
I've recently been asked to start writing articles for an online magazine. They want me to review short horror films and such. I was wondering if you smart people had any suggesstions for good horror shorts out there?

There's a collection of horror shorts called Cutting Moments that's pretty decent, the best of them being the titular short, about an ignored wife desperate to get her husband's attention. Check it out.

My friends are going to be shooting a 30 minute short next week for The Asylum of Dr. Caligari. They'll be doing a full length movie next year, but they wanted to do the short first. I'll let you know when they have it available.
Also I don't know if this counts as a short because it's multiple stories but I recently watched From a Whisper to a Scream and it was great.

Nacho Cerda has made some pretty impressive shorts..
Aftermath and Genesis are his best.

I almost forgot Synapse put out a wonderful short film compilation from the Fantasia Film Festival. The DVD is called Small Gauge Trauma. Great stuff, I highly recommend you check that out.
